  1. It don't look good for the home team here in Pa... OR in Oberlin for that matter. I hope it clears out so that I can leave today. It doesn't look good at the moment though. If not today then maybe early tomorrow morning. I'M READY TO GO!! http://www.wunderground.com/radar/radblast.asp?ID=PBZ&lat=39.91671753&lon=-79.15642548&label=Rockwood%2C+PA&type=N0R&zoommode=pan&map.x=400&map.y=240&centerx=400&centery=240&prevzoom=zoom&num=10&delay=15&scale=1&showlabels=1&smooth=0&noclutter=1&showstorms=0&rainsnow=0&lightning=0 http://www.wunderground.com/radar/radblast.asp?ID=CLE&region=b4&lat=41.28762054&lon=-82.23287964&label=Oberlin%2c%20OH
  2. You're right!...It sure don't look good for this weekend.
  3. Hi, Mary Jo Let me know if you want to meet up a ride a little when you get your "to do list" done. I know a thing or two about the " TO DO LIST". Mine NEVER gets done...I think that has something to do with that 2 wheeled thing in the garage that I have a hard time walking past without forgetting what it was that I was about to do. I'm also going to Freebirds for maintenance day. I'm leaving Thursday afternoon on the 31st and then leaving for home Saturday afternoon. If I don't see you on the way, I'll see you there. Mark (mag1101)
  4. Anyone in Pa. going out for a ride this weekend? I'll be out and about in the somerset Pa. area. I'll be stoping at the Flight 93 Memorial and then down to Ohiopyle Pa. From there, who knows. If you would like to join me, let me know. The weather couldn't be better! Mark (mag1101)
  5. GOOD ONE!! HERE WE GO!!
  6. I tried a thinner oil one time and it (THE WHINE) was so bad I changed back to Rotella 15-40 the same day. Mine is not as loud as some that I've heard. I took a new 2006 RSTD for a ride 3 years ago and it was so loud that I thought I wasn't going to make it back to the dealer. That bike is still at that dealer today...and they want 12,500.00 for it. Mark
  7. "I have a 2009 and it whines a little as it gets hotter." I have a 2008 RSTD and it also whines a little whine went it gets hot. It's sounds GREAT when the engine is cold. I think someone should try to come up with a oil cooler. Just my .02 cents worth. Mark
  8. Mine gets louder as the engine (oil) gets hotter. When starting out with a relatively cold engine it's nice and quiet. I think it needs a oil cooler to keep the oil from getting too hot. That's my .02s. Mark
  9. Thanks again Leonard. I use the info almost evey time I'm out riding. The Harley's are a little better at u turns and slow speeds than my RSTD is. But the RSTD is longer and a little more top heavy, so I guess that would make a difference. I do think the RSTD is more stable at highway speeds. Mark
  10. Got the PM it's on it's way. Mark
  11. Hi, Steve It's the original "RIDE LIKE A PRO 3" video. NOT A COPY! I don't know if it's the one you've been waiting for??? Mark
  12. I have a copy of "RIDE LIKE A PRO" that I got from Leonard http://www.venturerider.org/forum/member.php?u=11085 when we were at the 'MARCH ON ROME" Meet & Eat. He asked me (when I was done with it) to make it available to anyone who would also like to view it. Just let me know and I will mail it out to you. Mark P.S. Thanks again, Leonard
  13. Helli, Phil Welcome to the forum. When at the meet & eat in Rome Ga. on the 17th Leonard http://www.venturerider.org/forum/member.php?u=11085 gave me the "Ride Like A Pro 3" video. I've been riding for 40 years and I learned some things on the video that I know I'll use in the future and probably as long as I'm riding a motorcycle. Leonard told me that when I was done watching it to send it to whoever wanted to see it. I'd be glad to send it to you. Just send me your address and I will get it out to you. You can then send it to the next person who wants to see it...just post when you are done with it. I'm sure many other members will also want to see it. Mark (mag1101) 2008 RSTD
  14. I will return to see if they will come down by at least another $1-1.5k. If they will I will seriously consider buying the bike as it is a brand new bike. thanks again to all Hi, cfs You're right. Make them an offer of a 1000.00 or 1,500.00 less and see what they say. I'll bet they take it! I bought my RSTD new 2 years ago (March 2010) and paid 10,999.00 from Lojak cycles just outside of Pittsburgh. It was also a leftover with 0 miles. I was expecting it to have at least some miles on it from test rides but it didn't. Anyway, I love mine. I now have over 28,000 miles on it and have had no problems at all. I did take a ride on a 2006 leftover before I bought mine and it had a LOUD wine and a Loud chirp that I know would have gotten old real fast. That bike is STILL sitting at that dealer! If the weather here in Somerset, Pa holds up (AND IT LOOKS GOOD right now) I'll be leaving for "the March on Rome" meet & eat this Thursday...so hurry up and get a bike and join me for a 1,200 mile round trip lunch break. Mark Craig
  15. Same here. I can loose all 4 if I really try hard not to scan. Did you try again after making the dots larger? It's hard to believe but they still fluctuate or disappear.
  16. My be why people don't see motorcycles. Check it out. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2854835/posts
  17. I love it!!
  18. I go every year. I'm about 20 miles from Johnstown. Let me know what day you're going...I'll ride out with you. Flight 93 Memorial is on the way if you you want to stop there. I go there often when out for a ride.
  19. Hi, Brian Where did you see a meet and eat in Greensboro?...what month is it? I'm in Pa about 350 miles from you. The fall foliage is starting to get nice up here. If you're interested in meeting some place (maybe half way) and doing some ridding just let me know. Maybe we could get some others to join in. Mark
  20. Hi, Vincent Mark here (mag1101) from Pa. You can also click on "community" up on the tool bar, then go down to menbers list and all the states will come up. Just scroll down and pick your state and you will see all the members listed in your state and what area they live in...it's a nice feature on the forum. Hope to meet you and do some ridding some day. Mark
  21. Randy, I'll help with any info. you need...and anything else you need help with in setting up the international. Mark
  22. Seven Spring is only about 15 min. from my house. Hey, maybe we should set up a meet and eat sometime. Somerset has a lot of great places to eat and also has some interesting attractions like the Flight 93 Memorial, Mount Davis (the highest point in Pa.), The Johnstown flood museum, Ohiopyle Rapids and some great riding through the mountains. Mark
