just remember the important terms. RTF ready to fly which means maybe 1-2 hours assembly time + charge time ARF almost ready to fly. - you need to purchase and install radio equipment, motor, electronic speed control and so on. RTC this one is old but In my flight time manufacturers would sell aircraft already built out of balsa wood ready for you to cover with silkspan or MONOKOTE mylar film Kits are usually wood and you have to build with glue and jigs and the works to get it ready to cover then add your electronics and engine/motor. Kit building is tough and time conduming but very rewqarding. Takes alot of patiences because you want to aurfram true and squae. 3 same modles can fly differently built by the same person. due to small changes in weight . Glue, sanding, covering ... the kit you ust posted is a floamie ARF. it needs electronics. and some minor assembly . maybe 5 hours of buildtime

I started this thread over on facebook and got a lot of great apps for my phone as well as getting thanked for a few apps that I posted up as well. Just cool things that help us with our riding or everyday tasks . So here goes. 1. MY CAR TRACKS for android... it allows you to record your driving progress and when you are done you cant print your route on google maps. This sis great when I go ride with a few friends and I dont know where I am. i get back home and can view my route. 2.FLASHLIGHT.... Creates a bright light on your phone. great for guys sbeaking out of the house early in the morning( to go to work) 3.FORUM RUNNER. .. This app allows me to read the forum easier from my phone with alerts for private messages and threads subscribed to 4. THE WEATHE CHANNEL, google maps, twitter , and facebook. self explanitory. 5. Pandora radio.. An online radio station geared by the music you listen to. I no longer plug my mp3 player in to my bike . 6.G strings tuner . An app to tune your guitar... just as effective as a tuner 7. GAS BUDDY... Shows you view maps where the gas stations are in relation to you and get this THE CHEAPEST GAS AROUND 8. And last but not least ANGRY BIRD

I had 4 different rc cars and could never get the full speed out of it. i was too scared guess just not experienced enough. my Tmaxx had a 2.5 motor and it had a 3 speed tranny. i only got up to 2nd gear before losing control and having to preform costly repairs. same with my hpi nitro rustler. and offna ld on road car.

[quote We have club members that fly both electric and fuel, These are called confused! Lol

I have decided to go electric with airplanes because of the congestion in my neck of the woods.Adio simple to connect the battery throttle up and go for 30 minutes then pack up with out cleanup and go home. I dont have much time ,with work family ,and riding pulling in different directions I think electric is much easier, especially with all the new improvements.Motors pumping oit so much power with less energy consumption

Hey monty. I was into the rc car hobby a small while ago. I have looked through craigslist and there are a few rolling chassis that any one f those engines can go on. pm sent

I say you atre doomed. You will never get rid of that knock
-
Monty I would like to take you up on that offer. I can offer you some cash of course. It will make oit easier to get back into the hobby. As of now the warden is watching all that comes into my cell.lol

hey guys i hear all this talk about the lowering of the tree in the forks but I have only seen it been discussed for rsvs. WIll it have a positive effect on my RSTC? I dont think i have low speed handeling problems but any improvement in handling will be appreciated.
-
Pics please. If you have a gem you dont want to fly oit with lil or no exp.to start you will want something slow and forgiving. Larger wing are for slower flight, diehedral for added stability. There is alot to learn, do so on a cheaper model.

I was looking at a bunch of you tube videos of banana hobby aircraft. They look fun to fly from what people say they handle well. Except for that one vid where the guy PETE who did not balance his airplane, didnt close his battery hatch and the plane was all over the place until it hit the ground.

Monty im on the same page with you buddy. I'm thinking abot picking one up also.I have experience but I have left the hobby so long ago.I would, like to restart with electrics this time.Besides when you are ready to upgrade I doubt you will be flying that trainer much.Which means you will most likely upgrade everything.

Has anyone tried these?
muaymendez1 replied to Vanantwerp's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I almost went with the Shinkos last.year but I feared it because of the l ik mited reviews.I have bridgestones now and I hate them.May be leaning torwards Shinkos by next February. At 7000 miles a year I wouldn't mind changing them and get everything lubed. -
Well said.
