Quick update here.I think I know my last 3 steel plates had bluing on them.I found out tonight on the way home when I down shifted like usual abd the rear end broke loose skidding until I pulled the clutch. I guess I have been slipping more than I thought. Not to mention it feels like I have way more power.A result of no slip. -

Are you guys really doing marathons that 2 bottles of ice water wont do in a pinch? Not trying to be confrontational and maybe due to my location in on the map but how long are your rides? I've been out for 4 hours at a clip you eventually have to stop for gas.

Ok so I found out that the left carbs were fully choked while the right side still had another click.Thr set screws linking both sides was off.In not sure if I got it perfect but they both hit the stops at thr same time. This should be an improvement.Riding to work in the am.Will report tommorow.

Ive had this issue with a goldwing.Tire guy was installing tires with soapy water.Dish soap has a high content of alkali.Cuts grease and removes impurities when rinsed off. Left on aluminum it with oxidize it causing a white powder /aluminum oxide. You have to removev tge tire and clean up the bead. You should use non petroleum lubricant to set the tire ontop the rim as petroleum deteriorates any rubber compound. KY will work in a pinch.

I also have a set of barely used brake pads I will let go real cheap. Thanks Skydoc for mentioning the pads. Im glad i purchased them. if anyone is thinking about thier brakes this one change increased my stopping power. I didnt realize that using a cheaper brake pad could make your stopping power suffer. Ok whos interested in the pads.? I bought the bike with these installed. The frints were not as bad but the way the brake feels now I think i had inferior pads. http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh221/muaymendez/1329683900872.jpg http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh221/muaymendez/1329683921063.jpg -

I just completed mine. Just thh upgrade full friction disk and upgraded spring. All went along smoothly. The only thing i was concerned with i saw some blueing on the steel disks and I know I didnt slip but a hand full of times unless there was more slipping that I didnt notince. It wasnt bad so i scuffed them up and reinstalled. http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh221/muaymendez/2012-02-19115609.jpg http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh221/muaymendez/2012-02-19115508.jpg http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh221/muaymendez/2012-02-19115456.jpg -
