Probably a Goldwing or BMW either a late model K1200lt or the new 1600 if it fits me.

I could see this. Harleys sales are down 15 % also. I dont think they are going to come back either. Their big buyers, baby boomers, are buying less bikes as they age. So I predict they will be back where they were in the early 80's like when AMF owned them withering on the vine in a few years

Yes I do

Im considering just going with my Motorola Droid x phone for everything now. The thing can do everything I need for a trip in a small package Phone, GPS, MP3, Camera, Video Player, Phone book, Bluetooth stereo, weather radar, Internet etc. What cant this thing do. Just need to find a suitable mount to guard against elements and use all of its features.

I think TimGray was doing something with them.

Average price $1,000,000 for a home. What kind of money you all make up there and what do you do for a living. I often wonder that when I watch HGTV house hunters what do they do for a living. WOW

Having fixed mine several times it sounds like either the ignitor is not working ie broken or your not able to get the ignitor heated up to proper temp due to not enough watts and then it shuts the gas valve off and then the furnace wont start. With the furnace now not starting it there now is no load on the generator so voltage jumps up for a second. Correct me if I'm wrong electrical gurus. See above post.
-
I have the same crap furnace from 1995. I looked thru mine and the instructions but nothing told you what amps it used. The only thing I did see in the brain control literature was the the the ignitor could use up to 5 amps or 600 watts starting up to 1800 degrees. I calculated the small blower at start probably 120 watts while the big blower Im guessing would be around 600-800 watts . I don't believe your generator is going to be able to handle that. These really are crap cheap furnaces, I guess. I have been getting estimates to replace mine a couple of guys actually laughed when they looked mine over couldn't believe these were installed in houses.

89 VR Intregrated Brake ?
CrazyHorse replied to GolfVenture's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Integrated brakes were primarily developed for the weekend warrior rider whose riding skills are average or below. The guys that don't pay attention and are surprised by something so they have to slam on the brake and then they go down. More likely the rear rear brake for a couple of reasons. First many older riders (not trying to insult here)either taught not to use the front brake or scared they are going to flip over the bars doing a "stopie" while braking hard on front brake or taught to "lay it down". On these bike bikes its real hard to get them to do a stopie I doubt they even could with the weight more likely the rear slides out on them. The second reason I believe is the oversized car like rear brake pedals you see on some of these classic bikes like Harelys coupled with the foot position feet forward it "screams stomp on me". Couple that with forward weight shift that happens as you slow down your body weight is now helping brake some also. I think the design of some bikes encourages this. A peg set up is more difficult generate the same force as can on a feet forward bike due to having to rotate your foot and pressing down some of that pressure is stopped by the peg where as it is not on a feet forward bike. I de-linked my brakes on my 1990 1st Gen because I don't really want the bike determining for me. People should really learn to use their front brake it's the heart of stopping power 70-80%. I see many riders when they come to a stop never even use their front brake. Of course on certain surfaces front brake is less desirable. Maybe they are a good idea for some people but I'd like to have the choice. I think bike design maybe a problem just a guess here if you notice today's sport bikes have huge front brake rotors and tiny rear rotors. I wonder if this would help 2nd gen bikes a smaller rear rotor design. I think the best bet would be ABS with with no linking or integrating something you could shut on and off and use it when you want too. Just my 2 cents. -

They are both good bikes. I think in 2008 BMW's rear drive was changed to allow fluid change I think if I remember right to alleviate final drive problems. The Honda is a good solid bike but not as technologically advanced as a BMW and less options that are standard.

Kinda like Harley for the last 50 years. I like the looks and performance aspect of the BMW1600 though it may not be roomy enough though. But I m very interested in it. I like the high tech they bring to the table.

Malwarebytes is good and so is Superantispyware both free. I use my antivirus first then malewarebytes and then superantispyware. They all seem to miss stuff so I layer the defense. I guess if I had a Mac it wouldnt be a problem.

My only question is What do you do in the bathroom that requires a fire extinguisher?

Say Goodbye To The Anti-Dives!
CrazyHorse replied to skydoc_17's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
As usual nice thinking out of the box. Im thinking of going with no air shock system progressives front and rear. The rear one is quite expensive. I have noticed bouncing in sweepers on mine. Think I night do this mod -
True. Pinwall is pretty good and many of thier parts are not that out of line. I like them. I asked another dealer once if the part was made of gold and got a nasty graham back.

Many of them are junkyards which I try to avoid outrageous price for 20 yr old parts that may fail. Shipping is getting high. I was looking at the Post Office Priority mail boxes the cheapest one of small size is a minimum of $10.70

1st gen or 2nd gen your simply not going to take an 1800 wing. Power everywhere. For those of you who have never ridden one. If I maybe so bold I believe a after riding one a Bmw k1200 is faster also

No issues yet with coolant boiling over. I do run an aftermarket 4 " exhaust, no chip, or special intake. A ford diesel mechanic related to me that running the aftermarket exhaust is good for that motor helps cool it down. I guess I'll believe him. So far its been a good truck. Who designed thier current 6.7 motor? Volvo truck division?
