No Im just pulling it by hand. Poured fuel in nothing. Starter fluid nothing Fuel pump pumps fuel. Timing? CDI? I do have the airbox cover off is this gonna mess it up with too much air. I figure with start fluid it should still fire.

The spark is bluish/yellowish.

Disreguard last I'm an idiot forgot to turn on run button fuel pumps fine. Sprayed starting fluid did not ignite but I have spark at the plugs Im lost

I disconnected the fuel line and turned the ignition on fuel did not pump out. Bad ground or fuel pump maybe?

Fuel pump ticks sounds a little different then it use too. Plugs look great.

Over the winter have been starting my 1st gen once a week battery is on charger. Cranks fine, up on center stand gets spark to all cylinders it just will not start bike is in Neutral, full of fuel with Stabil fuel is filter is a few months old. I did manage to break my throttle cable though. Have sprayed starting fluid in still wont fire. If starting fluid cant get it to fire I dont know what will.Im confused since I have spark. Any ideas?

I travel to and from work an hour each way 75+mph want the RPMS lower to around 3000. The bike was designed when 55 mph was the speed limit now with higher speeds limits I dont want 4500+ RPMs when I'm cruising especially with gas prices creeping up to $3.00 again. "2Gen will fit, RST ?? I don't know for sure, think the change might be more than 50 Percent." Squeeze i dont know what this means please explain. Thanks.

Does anyone know if gears from a Royal Star or 2nd Gen are interchangeable with a 1st Gen? Looking to use a 5th gear and pinion out of a Royal Star or 2nd Gen as an overdrive for a 1st Gen.

Has anyone tried to modify and to attempt to use the on board air compressor for the forks,rear shock and as a possible tire inflator? Or is not up up to snuff like not enough air pressure?

I've taken the MSF and the full 80 hour Police course. MSF is Ok but nothing compared to the Police course. If you can take the civilian Police one I would and a high speed course on a track at a specialty school.

My 90 does similar smoothes out above 4000 rpm and starts to take off. My Harley Evo is quicker off the line to about 3000 rpm but after that it dies out to the Venture. Used to riding Harleys where all their power is down low below 3000 rpms. Took some getting used to. Mileage starts to suffer though if your cranking that throttle and reving it to 8000 rpms.

The goo comes with seals but I dont what they are for. So I used them as seal setters and no problems with them. I dont know if this applies to 83 but on the 86 up the front calipers have different seals I accidently ordered the same seals 2 right sides and I had to re-do the left after it was leaking.

I had a problem with fluid in the clear connecting tubes sometimes I would not get a reading in one or more tubes.

Ride to be seen is great advice. Give everyone around you and yourself the chance to be seen but in the end it comes down paying attention to your enviroment and having a plan to attack it. Look where you want to go and not at the pole.

Man Jack how do fit on these bikes Im 6'2" and the foot position isnt the best for me I could use the seat a couple of inches higher(Gold wing much worse with the motor sticking out the sides). I can ride the bike without much chill problem to about 40 degrees. Havent tried lower then that. Worry bout black ice on some roads I take to work at 5 am when the temps are in the 30-36 range. I got all the sets of airwings feet which I like and come off easy. Maybe I wont put the upper and middle ones on. Still debating this in my head. Maybe SEAFOAM will cure it. -
Rebuilt my bike tired to start it forever before I realized O Yeah fuel shut off is off. Boy was I pissed off until I realized that.

Move South Im looking to Arizona /Texas when I retire I'm done with -20F windchills in January.
