Heel toe shift
CrazyHorse replied to Kurt827's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
The Harley ones have a nice spacing they came with the bike. The 1st Gen wasnt made for one so I guess they had to space it closer when they made the aftermarket ones. -
Heel toe shift
CrazyHorse replied to Kurt827's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Heel is up, toe is down. Its meant to be that way so you dont scuff your boots you never put your boot under the shifter. IE.. you would normally put your toe under the shift to shift up to next gear scuffing your toe area. Now the front pad is for the toe to shift down and you step on it and to shift up you step on the rear pad, boot never goes under the shifter. Harley Roadkings and Ultra's have this Plus it's a faster shift once used to it. -
I'm 2nd Gen deficient.

I'm looking to do this also. Couple of places to look. http://www.wildbros.com/EFI.html these guys make a Vmax fuel injection it might work on your bike if its modified. Or use the injection you have with this http://www.megasquirt.info/ kinda of make your own. Another guy here named Squeeze from Germany is working on one also.

A friend of mine uses a corn stove that is piped into the main trunk line of his regular furnace uses the fan of the furnace to distribute the air. He has a 3200 sq ft ranch in Northern Illinois on 5 acres. He was spending $17.00 a day on Propane. He has 2 furnaces. He bought an Amaizing corn stove and hooked it in to his main trunk line to distribute heat. He now spends about 3-8 bucks a day on one-two bushels of corn. Sometimes if its really cold he might have to turn on one of the furnaces to assist but mostly uses the corn stove. Now you do have to have an area to store corn and you have to load the stove every day and there is cleaning involved but if you can handle some extra work you might want to check it out. http://realmidwest.com/corn/links Here a link on some corn stuff. You dont smell the burning either.

You guys that are afraid of AK47's etc. Hunting rifles are more accurate and more powerful. I would be more scared of a guy with a scoped 30.06 caliber rifle who could pick me off like a sniper hiding in the bushes from 200 meters then a guy with a AK47. Like the LA bank robbery a few years ago they used AK's and HK G3 which were illegally modified to full auto. Those two guys fired 1100 rounds and hit 11 people not to good odds of being hit scary, sure, but you contrast that with the DC sniper who used a scoped rifle (AR15) shot and killed 10, wounded 3 critically each with one well placed round like a hunting rifle would. I would think about that for those of you "hunting guns" are the only ok guns guys. Just think how this nation would be in gripped in fear if several dc sniper type terrorists operating in several areas of the country at the same time. Your hunting guns will now be the "sniper" weapons people will want to confiscate.

Tankslappers usually happen when one accelerates hard over a bumby surface. The front wheel foot print is lighter so when you hit the bumps the tire is lifted slightly off the ground and if it doesnt come down perfectly straight it bounces to the other direction and each bounce gets worse the tire bounces more violently to the opposite side. Heres a nice video of a young man stunt riding doing a wheelie when he notices a car on the side of the road he wants to pass it on two wheels but if you look close his steering wheel is not perfectly straight and you see a puff of smoke when his front tire hits the road and the tank slap begins. I'm sure your a good man spear and in 99% of this country you have no corcern except for some gang infested areas of bigger cities and your occasional malcontent. (one tried to take me out with his motor vehicle while I was on my motorcycle.) It' s just the fact you never know. I wont go to many parts of this earth I seen a fair share of this earth and I gotta say their are much scarier places on earth then the USA. Kidnappings, religious nuts that want everyone islamic etc or places where LEO's are paid off by whoever. The US is just fine as is your country.

That made me laugh a good one. I'm plotting my escape.
