  1. Nice color enjoy.
  2. Or you could delink and not have to worry about that front line air anymore and have a normal braking system.
  3. If you want sport touring/performance go with the Original and best Venture 1983-1993 versions. Though they are 15+ year old bikes now. If you want mosying along cruiser type go with the current Venture 1996+. Welcome to the site.
  4. I have to agree I went away from it too. After GaryN accident where I think the girl involved said she saw a turn blinker if I remember right. I was running my modulator on the driving lights but since took it off not wanting to confuse someone who makes a quick look into thinking Im turning so they pull out in front of me. I would say drive defensively.
  5. This is a very cool project. I'm wondering if one of there Fuel injection units could be adapted to fit fuel injection to these bikes. Always been a dream of mine.
  6. You have a good point there do they have stereo bluetooth yet?
  7. Im not sure you understood what I said. Being 2 different systems they are not compatible to play against each other. One kid somewhere with a PS3 cant play online against a kid playing on an Xbox. Even though they both are playing the same game like a Call of Duty which both systems have they can not play against each other online. Yes PS3 so far has been free online gaming.
  8. You have to bring your "A" game to Downtown Chicago driving my son was blown away because we live in a rural area 60 miles west of the city. Skills weren't quite up to par for that battle.
  9. My wife loves San Antonio how is the summer? Is it humid? I guess my goal would be low humidity anywhere I went.
  10. Those 2nd Gens sure look comfy.
  11. My kids have the PS3 and its been good so far plays movies, games well. Depends if you have kids mine complain that some of there friends have x360 and they cant play online against them because of the different systems. Wii is a whole different kind of gaming from what I know more whole body active less violent games. If you want death and destruction I would go for PS3 or X360 if you want some nice mellow family games then Wii.
  12. It would be nice.
  13. I hear you brother I'm tired of Chicago too. Texas or Arizona or Southern California would be my choices.
  14. SO your pretty happy with it? What kind of mileage are you getting. So if your cranking on the throttle your not noticing any lack of power?
  15. The engine sticking out on a the 1800 Wing bothered me and my feet. Its an awesome machine but the foot position bothered me with the way the motor is laid out. I dont like Harley looking bikes, forward foot controls and dont like floor boards never rode with my feet on them only off the back edge of them. Rode a friends Vrod lots of power but felt that way forward foot position translated to a lack of control for me. I like feet somewhat under me but unobstructed in front of me. Gives me a sense of control. Gold wing couldnt do that for me. The GW felt almost to low to the ground for me. I dont mind top heavy, helps you lean that bike over. Hard time finding a sport touring bike like this and then I found the 1st Gen V4 even though its old the motor it has decent power and unobstructed foot position. My biggest complaint would be the handle bar position. Now if they would only make a modern version of one. If the next Venture looks the same as the current one I'm done with Yamaha and probably get a BMW and I'll look at the new GW too. Only thing that holds me back from getting a BMW is lack of dealers and waiting to see if Yamaha ever decides to make a 3rd Gen.
  16. Ok thanks. They dont make looking up the patents to easy. I could find nothing else that resembled something new.
  17. Just sign up for it its free. Then search Yamaha Hatsudoki Kabushiki Kaisha It will show you all the latest patents issued to Yamaha. But its probably best after you sign up to click on my above link howpefully it takes you right there instead of looking aimlessly because they are not in a neat order.
  18. I found this on patent storm maybe future Venture? W/O bags etc Patent issued 10/27/09 http://www.patentstorm.us/patents/pdfs/patent_id/7607504.html
  19. I believe what your talking about is for California bikes and the emissions system they have on them. Non-California just have the plug w/o anything plugged into it.
  20. I hope they do something no matter what it looks like. Just pull the trigger Yamaha.
  21. Pretty easy to rebuild yourself.
  22. I actually have the gearing from a 2nd Gen motor and a vmax rear end. I was going to do this if gas had remained at $4+ bucks a gallon. Should give slightly lower 1st with 2-4 virtually the same as 1st Gen and then a 500 rpm decrease in 5th from 1st Gen, but it is a major job to do this just havent got arounds to doing it yet. Got the rear end for 5 bucks but the guy got 70 bucks shipping which irritated me.
  23. Gotta love BMW taking the bull by the horns and making techno advancements just like Yamaha....
  24. I think this is the 2000CC product they are coming out with for a new replacement to the K1200LT
  25. Yea its the same here. I own a Honda watercraft and they are awesome machines I like them better then the Yamaha's. The Yamaha's are good and they are better sellers then the Honda. Honda doesnt put the marketing effort it seems into their watercraft.
