I went and bought the wife a bike of her own last night, a 09 Vulcan 900LT. I rode it home for her last night, now she starts her riding class tonight, so with any luck, she will have her license come Monday.

I dont know how close ytou are to Winchester, Va, but my dealer has been well above average. As compared to the local Harley dealer( 1 star) the yamaha dealer is a 6 star -
no tax write off - he bought a bike, not made a donation!

I replaced my 404's on my 09 RSV at 5,000 miles because they ride like crap, have a very low load rating, fall in to every grove and track every road snake. Go cheap on accessories if you must, but not tires. I have 4,000 miles on my Venoms and the ride is soooo much better. I also here the E3's are great.

I have my seat off of my 09, replaced it at 1,000 miles with a corbin, let me know if you are interested.

I have a stock windshield off of my 09 venture, I replaced it with the clearview;. So, if you want stock, call me and we can work out a deal or barter. BTW, I also have the stock seart if anyone is looking??

I bought the same one 4 months ago. My first full on touring model, now I am ruined from anything else. I never would have guessed that a radio and cruise control would make such a difference! I have added a clearview windshield with the goldwing vent and a Corbin seat with back rest. Plus other goodies that the wife thinks came on the bike.... All in all my favorite bike I've ever owned. 8,000 miles to date, and I am hoping to get another 3k on it this year. BTWI got rid of the stock 404's and put on the Avon Venoms, got rid of sooo many problems! Awesome forums and member site IMO!

I will be leaving Memphis, Tn. on Saturday morning, and staying unbtil Sunday. Odd that it ends on Saturday, but that's when I can go. If any riders from the Memphis area want to ride out, let me know and we can meet up.

Thank you for all of the responses. Most of you prefer the E3's, my dealer reccomended the Avons, so dod another friend. I thinbk I am going to go with Avons and hope it is the right decesion. As for tire wear on the stock 404's almost 5500 miles, and still plent of tread. It is the handling that I hate, and also hitting the grooves in the road, I hate being pulled down the road due to lines and cuts in the pavement.

Hello all, I bought a new 09 RSV a few motnhs ago. I have put 6,000 miles on it and would like to impove upon the ride, so I have been reading your posts on the Elite 3's and the Avon Venum's. Can anyone tell me their experience with both tires, how they handle in the rain, and the overall performance as compared to the stock 404's?
