I got rid of the stock 404's and bought the Venoms at 2,000 miles. I have over 13000 on the bike now and love them. But, I have never owned the E3's, and as I love the Avons, I see no reason for me to switch. I am sure which ever way you go, you will be happy.

Ok, the weather is meant to be in the 70's and full of sun fron Wed. on. I am leaving Wed. morning to parts unknown for 3 or 4 days. Preferably southm, but I will scan the weather pattern before I leave. Anyone have any great riding and camping areas close to Virginia?

Who has some unused sick or vacation days next week? I am taking the week off, and the weather is meant to be awesome all week. I am thinking of riding down to the dragon via Skyline drive and the parkway. This is not set in stone, but the mud is drying fast. I can either ride down 81 and go north, or start north and finish south. I need a personal breather for a few days, and the wife is cool with it. Call it a mental week. LOL I could like to camp may way down, but I am not opposed to a hotel either.

I was a M1A1 Tank mechanic in the Army, which includes anything that weighs less than a tank.... Then I did warranty work for Thomas Built Buses. Now, I run transmission shops, obviously....

we are glad you came up for the weekend, we had a great time! Clare is looking forward to a camping trip this spring, thinks she will welcome the break from police academy by then. She swears in tomorrow morning and gets her badge. She has pretty much everything now but her side arm, guess she gets that after or during school?

I can't see the value in the mac. I buy mid range laptops, and I think I could buy 3 or 4 to 1 mac. However, that being said, I believe the macs do have a lot of upsides, but I can update my laptop every 2 years. -
The ride down will be around 600 miles. The Skyline drive starts in Front Royal, Va, and the average speed will be 35-40 mph. So depending upon how long you want to ride a day will set your time. The temperature is not too much different than the lower areas until you get down to southern Virginia, and the weather will be the same either way. rain or shine. There are some great books about the sights and hikes along the way. PM me and I will be happy to loan them to you for a while to plan your trip. We are looking to do this ride in early April at this point, looks like there will be 4 or 5 bikes on this trip at this point. We would be happy for you to hook up with us.

Lol, that is just what I needed to hear..... i'm not too worried, the training i went through in the army far out trumps what they will teach her in popo school.... lol. She hates whenb i say that.
