  1. Old, but still good!!!:clap2:
  2. They should have named this website, "Redneck Projects". I like it!!!
  3. Ditto!!
  4. I think they did a GREAT job. As far as changing the national anthem, NEVER !! I like both songs but, this IS our national anthem. If you change it now , who's to say someone else will change it again in a few more years! Pretty soon, you won't even be able to recognize it! I say, take it for what it is. that's just my opinion!!
  5. My son has a set of 18 inch Mud Grapplers on his Silverado 4x4 which he uses as a daily commute to school. To me they are very noisy, but he likes them, so that's all that matters. They make the truck look good!
  6. I used to have a Wolo Badboy on my VMAX until it crapped out. That's probably going to be added to my RSV soon.
  7. Yea, his lights were flashing, and no I didn't see another vehicle. It could have already left the scene. !!That's what I thought ya'll would think when I titled the post this way!! I blame the driver for forcing me and my wife off the road. I blame the cop for the distraction. I blame the law for what it is, good or bad. I also blame the cop for not investigating what happened. And last but not least, I blame myself for getting caught with my pants(guard) down. I still have the stock horn but that is definately going to change now. Although I don't think it would have changed anything because the truck driver looked straight at us and kept coming over. Oh, he knew what he was doing!!!

    Biker Down

Prayers sent. That could've been me yesterday.
  9. Almost, but not quite! Yesterday my wife and I were on our way back from seeing her sister who lives about a 100 miles away. We were easing along at about 60 mph on a 4 lane highway in the left lane. Traffic was moving along at a good pace when we came up to pass a slower truck in the right lane. Now get this, the road had a right curve as we were about to pass the truck. Up ahead on the right shoulder of the road was a GA State Patrol car with his blue lights flashing. About 1/4 way through this turn, the truck in the right lane all of a sudden whips into my lane with me. I shut down on the horn as I'm just behind his door and try to keep him from hitting us by moving to the outside of the lane. As I looked back ahead I suddenly realized I wasn't going to make the turn. The pavement dropped out from under me and I thought, This it going to be bad!! I hollered to my wife to hold on. I didn't know what was in the bottom of the medium so I tried to hold it as close to the highway as I could. As luck would have it , there were no washouts in that section of shoulder and I was able to get stopped without losing it. I got stopped about 2 car lengths in front of the GSP on the opposite side of the road. MY wife and I sat there and just shook for a few minutes before trying to get back onto the highway. What did the GSP do???? NOTHING!!! He just sat in his car. I figured even if he didn't see what had happened he would have come over and given me a sobriety test!! The guy in the pickup slowed down but didn't stop. My wife said that was the scaredest she had ever been as long as we've been riding!! Jennie told me later that the pickup driver never stopped coming into our lane. It always happens when you least expect it!!!! I sure am thankful it didn't turn out like it could have!! This one took our breaths away!!!
  10. I'd rather think it was coming from the rubber boots. If the engine is filled too full it will blow into the air plenum. If the engine hasn't been into, I'd say no, not a head gasket. Check the clamps on the rubber boots and see if they are tight, if not, the oil is probably draining back down the back of the engine somewhere. Probably need to pull off the plenums and clean out the excess oil since it was overfilled. At the worst I think the engine would leak past a valve cover gasket before being forced out a head gasket. Hope this helps.
  11. WooooHooooo!!!!!!
  12. Mp3 player and go!! Unless you just particularly want one, forget the cassette deck. Most of us don't use it anyway.

  14. According to the pictures the magnetic table is manually operated, which is a good thing if it will hold. You won't have to worry about it. I see valve shims being thinned to the right thickness here. GG54172 You hit the jackpot here for home use!!!! If you like doing this kind of work(hobby), You've got just about everything you need to make most anything, with a little ingenuity. If I had the money, I'd take anything you didn't want. Congrats!!! By the way, that dividing head will make your drill press or milling machine worth their weight in gold when it comes time to build multi sided parts, bolt hole circles, square or hex to name a few shapes, the possibilities are endless.
  15. Eck, the "point" he was refering to was not the point of the instrument, but rather the the "point"of the sharp edge. If you were to look at a cross section of the blade it would look like a point. Hope this helps.
  16. All the above. Not knife edge in the sense of a cutting tool, but as a straight edge.
  17. Worst case, low oil pressure on start up?
  18. I don't think I'll be listening to 594 songs in one day, do you? IF, I did , I'd just put in another sd card and continue with 594 more. Gotta stop for gas sometime, right? And it's not an Ipod. It's a player designed for the Venture that has a player head that plays mp3's through sd card and flash drives(usb). It literally becomes part of your bike as much as the cassette deck, radio, or cd changer. And I can still plug in my mp3 player just as you do if I ever want to.
  19. Well, I finally received the clutch gasket from Skydoc17 this afternoon so I went ahead with the installation of the extra spring from my Vmax . Earl you weren't kidding when you said that after a little while and I'd be able to crack walnuts with my left hand. HEHEHE. Anyway, thanks for getting it out in the mail so quickly. Just wish that the USPS understood what priority mail meant! Or maybe it's me that expects too much from a dying service!! Got it all put back together and boy, it sure does hook up now!! Thanks again!! "Biggal" is now a "Double D" !!
  20. Yep, Anytime the power is cut to the player head unit, it starts back at the beginning of the disc.
  21. Yep I used to do this on some Yamaha two stroke head gaskets. Makes them swell slightly and seal again. Just don't quench them in water, let them air cool.
  22. :crackup::crackup:
  23. WOW!!! Very true!!!Merry Christmas everyone!!
  24. Oh I see now! One the front so I'll know when to slow down and let them get off the road? Good idea!! Thanks!!
  25. Don't need one, nobody gonna catch me anyway!!!! Let's just see how the 1st Gens respond!!!
