  2. I made them out of aluminum in the shop where I work. Yes you'll need to slide one out at a time and drill and tap the risers for the bolt that holds the adapters on.
  3. I've had the risers on mine for about 2 years now and it has the chrome cover over the ignition switch. I thinks some people believe that chrome can only be applied to some type of metal. We've all seen plastic parts that were chromed. http://venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?p=527292#post527292
  4. Hey, whatever blows yer frock up!
  5. Best deal I could find when I did mine several months ago was Boats.net 4NK-11193-00-00 GASKET, HEAD COVER 1 Regular price was $28.21 Their price is $20.07 It takes 2 of these.
  6. You may as well go ahead and join now because you're HOOKED!!!!! You can't get away. You can check out any time but you can never leave!!!! This bunch of fruit loops will nag you to death!! Seriously though, most of us don't use the cassette player anymore although some still do. Buy yourself a cheap mp3 player and you won't have to fill up a saddle bag with tapes. Just plug it in to the aux port next to the cassette player. You won't be sorry.
  7. I'm sure you've already done this but I gotta ask anyway. Have you checked to make sure the tires are seated correctly on the rims? There's a reference line around the tire where the bead seats that should be equal to the rim all the way around. Another question, Does it feel like it's coming from the front or the rear of the bike?
  8. I think Don(Freebird) has one on his. Maybe he will chime in.
  9. Good job Walt!!!
  10. SWEET!!!
  11. And which model is supposed to do this???????????Maybe the V-Rod?????
  12. Been using Mint 12 since it came out a few weeks ago and so far I wouldn't have anything else(well, at least till I try something else). Check out the linux forums if you have any questions. I've gotten a lot of help from them just by reading about others having this problem or that problem.
  13. I tried Ubuntu and Freespire. Both were a pita. I'm now using the 64 bit version Of Linux Mint 12 on an AMD processor with a Gigabit mobo and have had nothing but good results. Didn't even need to run the disc that came with my printer, it just works! I'll only use a MS OS now if it comes on the machine, once it starts to give me problems..., format and install linux.
  14. Linux Mint 12

Even if you fixate on one of the "outer" dots, the rest will "disappear".

  23. I've got a '93 GMC pickup that has 230,000 miles on it. So far the only bulbs I've had to replace..., 1 taillight bulb about 10 years ago.
  24. Dilling at an angle can be accomplished by first using a spotting drill or a center drill. These are very ridged and won't flex. You can make a spotting drill by cutting off a regular drill, resharpening, and will probably need to "thin" the web of the drill( the center cross section) . Another way is to use a center cutting end mill to first cut a flat on the angled piece. Then you can simply drill the hole in the flat area. Either way you need to use some type of center drill for a more accurate location of the proposed hole. You will also need to clamp the workpiece to the table so it won't be allowed to move around. As far as the bench top drill press, it will work fine if you don't expect too much. I've had one for more than 25 years. Not much power, but it will work in a pinch. My advice, go for a floor mounted model with at least 3/4 to 1 hp motor, speed range from 150 rpm to whatever, spindle travel at least 4 inches( the more the better). Your budget will determine what other bells and whistles you get. Hope this helps!
  25. Does anyone know what type of plastic is used on 4wheeler bodies? My son's Kaw Brute Force has a couple of cracks in it. Is there anyway of telling if this will work on that?
