Reminds me of the time years ago when my new brother-in-law and I were hunting one Sunday after dinner( lunch for you Yankees). He shot a squirrel way up in the top of a popular tree and it went into a nest up high. We waited and waited nothing happened. Next thing I know he's pulling off his pants and climbing up the tree. I asked what he was doing and he said "I going to get that squirrel!" Well, he did get the squirrel and we headed back to the house. I asked hinm why he pulled off his pants. He said this was the only pair of Sunday pants he had and he wasn't going to tear them up climbing the tree. Sure was a funny sight back then seeing a grown man climbing a tree in his whitey tighties!! :rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf:

I just recently purchased a "Bike Condom" and have been using it daily for about 3 weeks. It has elastic all the way around the bottom and it folds up really small compared to my full cover. It's seen some pretty strong winds in the last few weeks. Don't know how long it will last since it's pretty thin but so far it hasn't shown any wear. I work at night so it keeps the frost, rain, and dew off the seat and windshield pretty good. I think I paid less than 20 dollars for it. With my flag on the luggage rack I can't cover the trunk but I'm gonna get a folding flag pole some day. I took the flag off when I first got the cover just to see if it would cover the trunk as well, and it did. I just like having "Old Glory" back there so for now I just cover the front to the back seat.

air gauge and pump
Kirby replied to warriorhoneybee's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I think this is what you are looking for. http://venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=54140&d=1298196431 You're looking for a "zero loss" air pump for the front forks and rear shock. Any tire gage will work for the tires. The forks require so little volume that it's hard to get just the right amount without loosing pressure just checking. The zero loss pump does just that. Never try to fill the front forks with a regular air compressor. You'll blow the seals. My understanding is Harley sells a good one but you can find them probably on Ebay also. http://www.ebay.com/itm/PROGRESSIVE-AIR-PUMP-W-GAUGE-0-30-PSI-UNIVERSAL-/390386684643?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item5ae4dc12e3 -
There is one other thing you might want to consider. I just added another stock diaphragm spring to the clutch. It takes some getting use to, but the clutch won't slip anymore. I did this about a month ago and now I hardly notice it anymore. Skydoc17 told me I'd be able to crack walnuts with my left hand in a few weeks and I think he was right. :dancefool::dancefool:

I was 17 and it was a Yamaha G6SB 80cc. My next street bike was a BMW R75/5 when I was 18.

In your dreams!!! -
I remember a guy on here a couple of years ago that was new to the site and this particular bike having problems with his trunk lid not opening up all the way so he posted on here and a certain V7Goose told him that the hinges were bent. Well the guy responded by saying the hinges were not bent, there must be some other explanation. But after many post and being told by others on this site the same thing he did what they all said and the problem was solved. Just my experience!! Thanks Goose!!

I installed Mic-Mutes on my RSV last year and it was amazing the difference it made with a passenger on a long trip. You can listen to music without all the background noise. I highly recommend Mic-mutes.
