  1. Has anyone tried the smaller front tire Michelin CommanderII? Time to buy a new front tire is approaching and MCII doesn't come in the 150 width for the 2 Gen. I have a MCII on the rear and like it so far. I've been using E3 on front but this time I'm getting a lot of small sidewall cracking. So thinking of putting on the narrower front MCII. Your thoughts?
  2. I don't have a 1st Gen, but it (MOLY 60) is still there when I replace tires on my 2nd Gen. I clean it all out and repack both the splines and the fingers at every tire change. This is usually every 14-18K miles.
  3. Uh, it's called riding a motorcycle. Or else you could always take the cage. Just kidding.
  4. Nice bike. Hope you enjoy for many miles.
  5. My wife nods off quite frequently until I start getting in the gas. Then all I hear is someone from the back screaming " woooooo---weeeeee, I love it!" :dancefool:
  6. Not saying this is the answer to your squeak, but if the fingers in the rear hub are dry and needing grease it will squeak. Especially noticeable when coming to a stop.
  7. You know the rules..., pictures or it didn't happen.
  8. You might try like some of the Harley riders and ride it off. Just make sure you can stop before hitting the back wall!!!(This should be interesting)HeHehe
  9. First time ever hearing of a broken rear axle on one of these bikes. Very odd for the bike. Very lucky for you. Maybe you should go out and buy a lottery ticket .
  10. There's at least some consolation in knowing, IF IT DON'T FALL OFF MAYBE IT'LL GROW BACK!
  11. So I guess your won't be signing up for ballet lessons, huh?
  12. If it were on the left foot a heal and toe shifter would be just about perfect for the job. Imagine if it were a 2Gen and the extra 100 lbs coming down on the toes!!! O-U-C-H!!!
  13. Still praying for you Skid.
  14. I know you probably don't want to hear this but why don't you just leave it on reserve and watch the fuel gage? You don't have a reserve on your car do you? Yet you still know when it's time to buy more gas.
  15. Yep, 2 gen has 6 gallons up about as high as you can get it. I lowered my front end by 1 inch and it made a world of difference in the top heavy feel.
  16. 2013 RSV S model is listed as 869 pounds wet weight. Does not include add on accessories.
  17. Don't know about that but Mic-Mutes work.
  18. I'm standing in the gap for you Skid.
  19. 2 gen must be pretty comfortable. My wife always goes to sleep back there. She rode the Iron Butt with me with no problems from her. Haven"t ridden a 1st gen so can't compare the two.
  20. In your dreams!!!!!
  21. In south ga all bikes are green with pollen this time of year.

  23. Hey Dan I didn't know you were having this problem my friend. If I lived closer I would come over and help you get back into it. But anyway, take your time man and don't let it whip you. We are all out here rooting for you!!!!
  24. Oh yeaaa,,, seeing how your one of our Northern neighbor biker types and buying/selling bikes,, have you got any idea of the costs/headaches associated with us importing one into the States from Canada?? How the heck does that work?? Can a person from the States buy a bike from Canada and ride it back or does it have to be trailered?? Puc I think the only ones that have to be trailered are Har...., well, uh, you know!!!:rotf::rotf:
