  1. Hey all, enjoy working on my bike, but feel that a Valve Adjustment is a bit more than I want to do. The bike shops within 30 miles of me are either months behind on everything or I feel inadequate to do this work on my bike. Not in a hurry, could be a winter project, but wondering if anyone in Michigan would recommend a mechanic that has done Valve Adjustments? Thanks-
  2. Parents lived in Northern Tennessee near Paris, off Kentucky Lake. Man did I love it there, came very close to moving there.
  3. Never tried Kendras. Use to run Avon Venoms, but now have Michelin Commanders.
  4. Congratulations Jay, I hope your future is full of good times. Later-
  5. Great write up Don. The Gen 3 looks like a great bike, hope you have many years of fun. Later-
  6. Thank You Charles! Thought maybe wife and I were just imagining the seat not as comfortable, however our butt's were not. I've had a air seat on the Harley Ultra the last three years, it is very comfortable, sorta used to that plush ride. Later-
  7. Thank You Carl. Wife thought same as I about this midnight seat. Just not as comfortable as our old 03 RSV pillow top. Did buy a sheepskin off a friend, which helped alot.
  8. Hey all, just had a great 13 day vacation to Yellowstone on the 03 Midnight RSV-Hannigan Trike. The bike handled awsome thru the mountain curves and ran very good the whole trip. Our other 03 RSV we sold years ago had stock pillow top seats. Just wondering, was the pillow top seat much more comfortable compared to the midnight seat, or is it just me getting old? Later-

  10. Made it home safely, what Awsome Vacation. Kept the gas receipts and figured out the fully loaded RSV-Hannigan Trike averaged 27.64 mpg. Not bad miles per gallon, considering on the way home had winds between 20-40 mpr with gusts up to 50 mpr. Going thru the Badlands and mountains the RSV-HT handled Great, even on those very winding 20 mpr curves I kept up with my bud Dave & Maria on there Harley Ultra. Other than cruise not working, the only other annoying thing is the constant downshifting into 4th on hills or windy conditions. Anyone know if V-Max Cams & Springs would have helped??? Over all, the RSV-Hannigan Trike is a Great Bike. Later-
  11. Thank You Scott, was a busy day, would have been nice to see the MM ballistic missile. Just never enough time to spend time seeing everything. That would be cool to to get one of those peace pipes, my brothers are 1/4 Choctaw. Tomorrow ride to Cody, Wyoming. Try to post pictures when back home from trip, but wife took the best ones on the camera, not my phone. Later-
  12. Right now in Hill City, and listening to a country band. Today, went to Sturis, Black Hills, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer. Been a good day, and great ride.
  13. Hey all, bit ago I bought a RSV/Hannigan Trike. Thank You all again for which one to buy. The bike had sat for a few years and needed various repairs. Replaced rear head gasket, rubber boots and hoses, air filters, plugs, coolant, oil twice, replaced turn signals and passing lights Wirering, replaced headlight & passing lights to LED. Re-synked the carbs with the Carb Tune a few times, now dialed in. Still have a cruise issues, but getting closer to completeing all the little repairs. We are currently on our out west bike trip to Wyoming. As far as power, it has plenty. Going 70-80 mpr, no problem in 5th gear on most straight roads and little hills. Use 4th gear up and down hills, and 3rd gear when needing to pass up hill. Gas milage been between 25-29 mpg, but has been a windy ride the last few days. Over all, Very Happy we purchased this RSV/Hannigan Trike. It has made our bike trip a much more pleasurable ride. Later-
  14. Hey Dion, that would be interesting if it worked out. I think J&M or another said that wouldn't work because Harley has an electrical component that Yamaha, Honda, and Kawasaki does not. But then again, that could be part of there sales pitch. I would be glad to give it a try. Later-
  15. Thank You Dion, yes, that is alot of money. But could see advantages of wireless headsets. A member here, so Graciously is sending me his extra set. Only need one more set up for rider. That's what is so great about this site, we are more like family. Thank You all again, Later-
  16. Now that's unique on a Venture.
  17. Thank You Ronnie and Dion. Like to go wireless, but the friends I ride with use the CB to communicate. Heard with wireless you cannot use CB. Later-
  18. Our Prayers and Condolences Lewis. Very sad losing close friends that are basically family.
  19. Dion, No they do not. Checked on a 7 pin female to 5 pin male, but no luck. Sierra Electronics said HD uses some electrical output that is different for Yamaha. So just a cable will not work. J&M makes a headset that will work for HD, Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki. You just add the 7 pin or 5 pin cords for helmet to bike. But not being cheap, well yes I am, it is $200 per headset with both cords. That is a great solution, but this close to trip cannot afford that much right now. Later-
  20. Thanks Joe, but more than I care to spend. Dion the Harley is 7 pin, RSV is a 5 pin. Hoping someone has a set they don't use, and willing to sell. Thanks, Later-
  21. Hey all, went out riding today and realized, 10 days before our trip, that our Helmet to Helmet from the Harley Ultra will not work on the RSV. Can ride without it, but prefer music, and to talk back and forth with CB thru the mic's. Anyone know where to get rider & passenger headsets with cords for a Great Deal? Thanks-
  22. Our Prayers and Condolences for Family & Friends.
  23. Glad you had a great time Scott on the road trip. Time spent with Grandchildren will always be cherished. Later-
  24. Our Condolences for his family and friends, and very sorry for your loss Ben.
  25. Happy Birthday Carl! Hope you have a Great Day!
