  1. Congrads Jeff on the new Jobs! Unfortuantly Good paying Jobs with benefits are a thing of the past. Corporate Greed, and Maximum Profit is ALL most of these Companirs want. They have forgotton that hard working Americans is what made America Great.
  2. Beautiful RSTD, Welcome to this wonderful site with Great people.
  3. That is awsome. Looks like the fixed front fairing is similar to the new ventures. Those hp/tq numbers are no doubt at the crank, so rear wheel be about 20% less, still great hp/tq.
  4. Congratulations Venturesome!
  5. Welcome Mark, Congratulations on the new RSV-HT!
  6. Awsome, would love to do that ride sometime. Really enjoy the southwestern parts of America, just Beautiful. Watched a few documentaries on the code talkers, they was very instrumental in the US winning WWII. BK owned by son of Code Talker, now I know why I like that place. Have Fun on your adventure, Later-
  7. Thank You Keith, I will check and tighten the front end. Later-
  8. Congratulations on the new Trike!
  9. Hey Don, we are doing good, and riding every chance we can with our Michigan weather. Either on the 2003 RSV-Hannigan Trike, 2008 Harley Ultra-105th Anniversary, or 1988 Honda Goldwing gl1500 with California sidecar Friendship III. Still love to ride, and feel the people on this forum you created are some of the best in the world. Later-
  10. Thank You Puc (Steve), very good write up, and now understanding the Vmax a little better. More top end is always nice, especially on two wheels, but as you mentioned it is rear end torque this RSV-Trike really needs, and it was more of a inconvenience than a issue. But at the same time riding with friends being two up with a lead foot on his hoped up engine wasn't a fair comparison to the loaded RSV. Dave & Maria seen how much fun Charlene and I had on a trike they traded in there 07 ultra for a 2019 harley tri-glide with the 114 engine. Hope they can keep up, lol. Now that our trip is a great memory and back to riding Michigan roads, not mountains, I will see how the RSV-T performs for 90+% of our riding. However, I will contact Hannigan to see what they think about which rear end upgrade. Thanks again Puc for your thoughts, most appreciated, Later-
  11. Thank You Randy, that makes alot of sence. See what hannigan stock gearing is, and go from there. I figured Hannigan would have it right for the RSV, that's why I thought more engine power. Later-
  12. Wow, Thank You Earl for this great, and knowledgeable write up! That could turn into a very expensive hobbie by doing those upgrades, probably more than what I can afford to spend, however it would be a wonderful learning experience. I believe for 90% of my riding I would not have issues, just loaded down, two up, going thru mountains. It is more of a nuisance than a issue or a problem. I feel you are correct about more power by goldwing, my 1988 1500 with double sidecar has lots of power, even loaded. Knowing now that there is no simple fix or low cost solution, I will continue on down the road with a smile. Thanks again Earl, Later-
  13. Thank You Bill, CJ, and Jim. Think the goldwing, valkyrie and triumph are great bikes, but prefer legs out front when shifting. Makes sence Jim for different hannigan axle ratio. Wonder if combination of vmax cams and springs along with different rear axle would be a huge improvement? Later-
  14. 48 here right now. The rest of week, high's of 50. Good Bow Season hunting weather, and ride in the afternoons. Later-
  15. Thanks again Steve, did a little read on both those bikes, Wow, that is some serious builds. Those builds are more than what I need to do, but will say that would be fun popping the front wheel off the ground with ease. Realistically, only need more hp to help with the additional 400lbs of weight from the trike. Any suggestions would be great? But then again, a Vmax trike......
  16. Thank You Steve, most Appreciated. Just courious why dingy left, other than love of vmax.
  17. Hey all, was thinking about our 2008 out west trip with the 03 RSV on two wheels vs the 2019 yellowstone trip with the 03 RSV-Hannigan Trike. Of course we were fully loaded each trip, and out west it is fast speeds. On two wheels it seemed I always had enough power, but with the trike I was Constantly Shifting into 4th gear going up and down hills, and into 3rd gear when passing up hills. So, was wondering does the RSV have the same heads, crankshaft, pistons, rods, valves, lifters as a Vmax? How much of an improvement would Vmax cams and springs be? What about carbs, needles, etc? Was almost thinking gas milage would improve with engine upgrades by the engine not working as hard, am I thinking right? Appreciate your thoughts-
  18. Thank You Craig! Yesturday road a friends 2019 Harley Tri-glide, had very little if any shaking over bumps or various speeds. Would be great to eliminate the shake on the RSV, have to do a bit of ingenuity, but maybe. Later-
  19. Hey all, I noticed when hitting bumps or at certain speeds, the front will shake on the RSV-Hannigan Trike. Does anyone have a Front Stableizer on there RSV Trike? If so where to buy? Thank You, Later-
  20. Hey Mike, sorry to hear about your Parkinson's, but glad your well enough to enjoy this wonderful site. Take Care, Later-
  21. Thank You Dion and Don, you all are awsome!
  22. Most Appreciated Jeff, Thank You, Later-
  23. Thank You Carl, maybe I can do this. Thought more complicated. Still wouldn't mind a good mechanic, just in case.
  24. Hey all, enjoy working on my bike, but feel that a Valve Adjustment is a bit more than I want to do. The bike shops within 30 miles of me are either months behind on everything or I feel inadequate to do this work on my bike. Not in a hurry, could be a winter project, but wondering if anyone in Michigan would recommend a mechanic that has done Valve Adjustments? Thanks-
  25. Parents lived in Northern Tennessee near Paris, off Kentucky Lake. Man did I love it there, came very close to moving there.
