\I believe the math needs to be checked here \ 85,000,000,000.00 devided by 200,000,000.00 = 425.00\ 85,000,000,000,000.00 devided by 200,000,000.00 = 425,000.00:stickpoke:

I bought a Goldwing in Aug of 78 brand new by aug of 79 I had close to 60,000 miles on it. I got out of the Army in Nov 78 and finally made it home to CA in June of 79. When I sold the bike in June of 2002 it had close to 300,000 miles and still was a runner. Living in Ca I rode all year long so didnt even own a car till I got married in 85, so the goldwing was my only transportation. I bought my 99RSV in april of 05 with 10,000 miles on it and it now has 37,000 so thats 27,000 in a little of 3 yrs with 10 months of not riding at all cause of my accident in the summer of 06. So if I keep riding the way I am this bike could make 300,000 before its time for me to stop riding:cool10: John

On top of that I had a faulty electrical connection on my bike due to my electrically challenged wiring ability, where I wired in the extra 12v powerpoint supply behind the driver seat Come on Jay tell them what was really wrong with the electrical connection:stirthepot::rotf:and tell them how many times you pulled seat off that day:rotfl: John

My Nephew who lives with me was sworn into the Navy yesterday morning. The wife and I are so proud of Him. He wont be leaving for Basic at Great Lakes til March though because His School has no openings. He came home from St. Lois last night so pysched. I told him to keep that attitude and he will do fine. Best thing he could do cause there is just nothing here for the young kids right out of High School. I t will help him to mature. Just like it did for me when I joined the Military right out of High School. He's talking he wants to make a career out of it. I told him thats fine I will support him even if he just wants to stay in for the 4 yrs of his enlistment. He also has 3 of his buddies ready to sign up if they do he will be a E-3 going to basic:cool10: John

Jet Man I bought the same horn about 2 weeks after install I went to use the horn and it barely had any sound coming out. I by passed the relay and it blasted. So if you have a prob in the future it could be the relay it seems to be pretty cheap to me. I just went down to local auto supply store and bought a nice heavy duty relay and havnt had a problem since. John

I think your right. in the last couple of months Ive noticed that there are a small few who have to put these little digs in that arnt neccesary to get some riled up and the moderators have to step in and close the thread. Ive been here since 2005 and cant remember anything needing deleted before. Im sure there probably were I few but cant remember. But seems like alot lately. John

\ Ok here is the story. My neighbor across the road who is a retired Gunny Sgt up in his mid 70s. Is always screwing with his computer changing things he knows nothing about then calls me up to come see whats wrong with his computer its not working right. Most cases I can fix it but this time Im stumped. What the problem is is no sound once you open the browser. I checked everything in internet options and it is all enabled. Sound works fine when browser is not open. So anyone have any Ideas where too look.\ thanks John

Wow did that bring back memories. I saw on the points of interest sign Philmont Scout Ranch. I spent 3 weeks in the summer of 71 there. One of the best times of my youth. Being born in NM but raised in CA I always loved going back. Some of the prettiest scenerie in the states.\ Thanks \ John

Met Bill and Raymond at the Hub today to check it out. They have a nice size resturant, confrence room, motel looked clean and neat. A big grass area for gathering and tent setup. 2 horse shoe pits (I feel a challenge coming) Over all looks like a nice place. John

Thanks guys your right it will go all the way in and not be hooked up ask me how I know :rotf:\ Will take it apart again in morning when it cooler. John

When you go to reinsert drive shaft will it slide all the way in and still not be connected right or will it stop before being fully inserted if not connecting right. \ I pulled mine and greased it and it slid right back in no probs so before I button things up would like to know.\ \ Thanks John

On the horn I had the same prob it ended up being the relay. The one that came with my horn was made of plastic. I went down to parts house and bought a heavy duty relay and havnt had a prob since.\ \ John

\ When I bought my 99 it had brand new D404s on it. I got a little over 10, 000 miles out of the set. So when I replaced them with new 404s at 3000 the rear was toast. So I replace it with another and at 3200 it was also toast. I then found out that dunlop had went to a softer rubber compound for the 404. So went with a elite III . Now that tire wore very well I got just under 14000. Rode in the rain alot and never had a problem with it. Its being replace with a avon tomorrow not because of all the Hype but because I got a great deal. what I saved over the price of a new elite III will more than cover the mounting and balancing cost. Will report back after I have put on a few miles. \ John
