Going back for 3rd time in 3 months 1st time heart attack with stent placed, 2nd time for another stent and now after a stress test which wasn't good they are gonna put in another stent and check the ones already placed. Its not a bad procedure it just sucks laying flat on your back for up to 8 hrs till the main artery they go through to get to your heart clots up. Hopefully in just over night thing. Going in on the 3rd of April hopefully home by the weekend for my and my great nephews birthday party John

Well Christmas was a great day. Spent with the family enjoying good food and good company. The kids all left in the evening. Sharon and I cleaned up and kicked back and relaxed. I fell asleep on the couch about 10 or so a friend from CA called woke me up. I noticed that Sharon had gone to bed. My friend and I talked about a hour or so had been a while since we had talked. While we were talking I noticed a little jaw pain but didnt think nothing of it. We hung up and I finally fell back asleep. about 5AM I woke with serve jaw pain, arm pain and chest pain. Sharon just happened to wake up and asked if I was alright and I told her I have issues. lol Well smart girl that she is she called 911. First responders were here within 5 mins and I was on my way to the hospital 30 miles away in Mountain Home AR. To my surprise they found 3 blocked arteries in my heart. one 99% blocked which they put in a stint. one 90% blocked to be stinted in the next few weeks and one 45% blocked to be treated with meds. After 3 days in hospital Im home relaxing and feeling so much better. So here is to a better year.

I can relate.I started hunting in CA when I was 12 with my dad. I hunted with him every year except the 3 yrs I was in the Army until his death in 92. The main reason I moved to Missouri in 02 was to buy my own place just so I could hunt. In CA it was getting expensive and they were issuing 50,000 plus tags for the area I hunted all my life. Now I have 85 acres of my own to hunt. I get free land owner tags and between the wife and I we can get up to 10 deer. This year I got a Doe opening day. Yesterday morning I scored a little 6 pointer.

Ah Hayward the town I grew up in. When I was rode out to CA in 2010 I stopped in at East Bay Motor Sports looking for a new helmet. They had a nice setup. John

what is most miles you ever put on 1 bike?
Dooder1 replied to midnightrider1300's topic in Watering Hole
330,000 1978 GL 1000 Here is a pic of it. Thats my Mom in the background standing next to my Dads 1975 GL 1000. I was 20 yrs old and in the Army when I bought this bike. It was my only means of transportation for 8yrs. In 2002 when I moved from CA to MO I gave it to my sons friend he had been trying to get me to sell it to him for a few years. The bike was still running good then. She was a great bike, took me all over the country. -
I have only popped in every once in awhile. It all started back in Aug when I finally got a clean bill of health from my Doc on my Bi-femurial Aorta bypass and was released to pursue all activities. My Mom calls and informs me she has stage 4 lung cancer and will not take any treatments to extend her life. I went to CA right away and got to spend the last 2 months of her life with her. She never had any pain and had great Hospice care. She passed in her sleep Oct 27. Since then there has been 6 more deaths in my family with the last being the hardest to take. My 19 yr old nephew who has lived with me for the last 6 yrs died from heart arrhythmia of unknown cause. I just returned from CA today from my 3rd trip out. Finished up with Mom's estate and put her house up for sell and had a offer in 3 days from a couple in Canada which was accepted and if all goes well will close June 7th. Then I will be ready for some riding.

Dano needs our prayers
Dooder1 replied to Freebird's topic in Inspirational, Motivational, Prayer Requests, Etc.
This is very sad news. I was the first member to meet Dan before he was a member. I was coming back from Freebirds and pulled into a rest stop in Indiana. This guy came and started asking me about my bike and said he had a venture he was fixing up. I told him about the site and he joined up. He remembered me and came up and welcomed me when I got to Freebirds the following Year. I hope for a speedy recovery and Im praying for his family and friends. John -
Sorry Im not at home. I live 70 miles east of Branson. With 2 trailers sitting at my place with nothing to pull them. Im in CA with the pulling vehicle. There is a Yamaha dealer in Springfeild saw their advertisements on tv just before I left. Give Lowell (WildHair) a call he lives up there he may know where they are located. John

Well the way I feel after surgery my first ride is gonna be way down the road. Doc had a hell of a time with scar tissue from all my earlier surgeries. Lost 3 liters of blood which was replaced plus a bunch more fluids. I was is in ICU from thurs to sat late afternoon. They had a hardtime stabilizing my blood pressure it kept dropping way down then my temp jumped up to 105. So the was touch and go for awhile. Raymond (ColesGrandpa) came and visited Sharon and I at the Hospital sat morning it was nice to see him. But anyhow I got to come home last night. Im on oxygen 24/7 till I go back to doc on monday. I feel ok but I have no strength and have not been able to get really comfy yet. Once that happens I know Im on my way to recovery lol John

Went for my last ride for about 3 months today. Went down to Mountain Home AR. to hospital for pre-op tests. Thurs morning I will be going in for what is considered a very delicate operation. According to My Doc is more serious than open heart surgury. http://www.health.com/health/library/mdp/0,,zm2720,00.html I will be in the hospital about 5 days, no wi-fi so see you all when I get home.
