  1. I'm looking to get some touch-up paint for my Yamaha RSV. I would describe it as gold colour although the paperwork describes it as silver. Photo should be in my profile. Can anyone help me regards ColorRite email ?
  2. Does anyone have advice on slip-on exhausts for Venture star. Looking to make the bike rumble a bit more with a nice exhaust note and would appreciate advice on exhausts people have tried. Also would like to avoid any tinkering with carburettors if possible as part of the upgrade.

  4. Thanks all that responded. I've done pretty well using ebay, and have managed to get many things for the bike since making that discovery. Most suppliers on ebay ship across the pond to the UK. The shipping cost can vary and usually a customs charge to pay at this end. However the plus side is I can get the parts this way and if you shop around, some scope for getting discount as well.
  5. Thanks chaps - I completely got the wrong idea what this accessory was for. I thought it went around the edge of the lid, and didn't realise it was for fitting on the top of the lid. Some smashing photos and smashing looking bikes there. Many thanks.
  6. Has anyone fitted the Genuine Yamaha Saddlebag Lid Trim Rails ( Item STR1D6725000 ) to their bikes. I'd be interested in seeing some photos to see what they look like
  7. Cliff Rue Motors in Hibbing replaced the broken lamp I received on the first delivery of the passing lamps here to the UK without any problems. Good communications and they gave me good service.
  8. Just to let everyone know I'm sorted.......I bought the kit described below. Easy to fit once you take off the front nose fairing. I decided to mount the switch that the kit supplies on the RH dash on the panel that side. Its quite neat, everything works and it looks ok. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MOTORBIKE-ELECTRONIC-HAZARD-WARNING-LIGHT-KIT-EasyFit_W0QQitemZ180394848500QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK _Motorcycle_Parts?hash=item2a005ef0f4 Power wise I tapped into the ignition circuit, which is similar to the way the BMW R1100RS I also have is wired. I've kept my switch to switch on lights and now also have hazard warning switch for flashers available. Thanks all for the support and the interest.
  9. Many thanks everyone that has responded. I'm waiting on arrival of a replacement lamp as the kit when it arrived had a lamp broken. I'm in the UK and fortunately the dealer in the states ( Cliff Rue ) has been good and is sending me a replacement. Hopefully this time it will be ok. Thanks for all the tips regards positioning these and setting the correct height. I must admit they are quite awkward to adjust.
  10. For those that have fitted the passing lamps to their bikes, I'm wondering if you have any general guidance regards positioning the passing lamps correctly and aligning them....... Apologies if there is a post already regards this, but I was unable to locate it.
  11. Wondering if the group can recommend an appropriate source and part item code to get the relay referenced in the threads.
  12. Thanks everyone who has replied and for the photos to confirm the setup on the US bikes. It confirms to me that the European bike owners would need to look at putting in a separate switch somewhere if they wished to get hazard warnings working on their bikes. I found this item on ebay which is a kit to fit Hazard Warning Lights on a motorbike that doesn't have them http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MOTORBIKE-ELECTRONIC-HAZARD-WARNING-LIGHT-KIT-EasyFit_W0QQitemZ180394848500QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Motorcycle_Parts?hash=item2a005ef0f4
  13. My initial research seems to indicate different functions being available from the slide switch on the RH controls. On the US models - it seems to be only for hazard(flasher) lights. This suggests to me that the US models may have their lights on all the time and owners aren't able to turn these off. On the UK models - we have a two position switch which allows us to turn on side lights and the main lights. On the Tour Custom model - this switch seems to be for switching on the cruise control. From my perspective - it looks like this won't be a simple job and I'd need to consider getting an after market switch I think to wire up .
