You know! If you read the directions..... Someone posted the Yamaha Passing Lamps installation instructions on this site and I read them last night. I probably could have eventually figured it out, but saved some time by looking at the directions....dah!
Essentially, once you have the lamps mounted on the bike, remove the clamp rings that hold the bulb in the lamp holder. There is a hollow 12 mm sholder bolt that passes out the bottom of the lamp holder. With the 12 mm end wrench tighten this bolt while holding the turn signal connector below the lamp so it will not turn. You want the slot to stay to the rear. Allign the front of each lamp parallel to the main light. Pointing the same direction and then do your final tightening and replace the bulb and the clamp rings. Make sure the clamp ring phillips screw head is on the outside or away from the bike so you can easily tignten. After that, there ain't no more....unless you have to repoint agan because you misaligned the first time.....
You really learn a lot by tearing one of these bikes apart or having to rebuild like I did.
