  1. Thanks. May have to do that. Appreciate the info.
  2. No, not under warranty.
  3. Hello All: Been frustrated with my audio system on my 2008 Venture for several years. The tuner seems to lockup after I ride for a few minutes. It is worse in hot weather and when the bike is parked in the sun. I cannot change modes or change channels, etc. I have checked for loose or corroded connections. We live in a dry climate and the bike is parked inside, so I do not believe moisture in the connections is the problem??? I have had the tuner split apart checking it out and seems to be no corrosion there......... Any ideas? Would also strongly consider replacing the entire audio system because, even when it is working properly the speakers are not very clear at high volume. I would like to continue to have the speakers be built-in where they are now and a handle-bar mounted tuner. Does anyone have a recommendation for a replacement systems? Thanks RR
  4. My radio is giving me trouble and it is not always the same symptoms. Often is locks up completely or locks up partially. At times I will not be able to change channels or change settings. It does not seem to follow any pattern although I think it is better when you shut the key off and back on. Sometimes it will not play at all. Often times FM or AM stations will cut out when I open the throttle and immediately come back on when I let off (kinda sounds like a loose connection on this symptom).
  5. What is the Hannigan installation? Ryan

  8. Is there an adaptor for converting the 5-pin audio connector (on gas tank of my 2008 RSV) to a common 1/8" mini-jack for plugging in a set of common earphones? Thank you.
  9. On my 1987 Venture I had to slide my right-side grip entirely off to work on the starter switch. I had to disconnect the throttle control cables (to get enough slack) on the mechanism down on the left side near top of the engine. After that one can slip off the grip and you will see a screw down inside at the end of the grip that holds on the end cap. With the end cap removed you can change the grip. Probably is an easier way but thought I would share. Best of Luck Ryan:thumbsup2:
  10. Four of us are planning to travel from Nebraska to Phoenix in early November trailering our motorcycles on a flatbed trailer. Does anyone have any experience or advice for doing this?
