  1. With the fork deflectors from SlowRollWV you use the OEM bracket to mount them. If you have a passing light spacer (old style or the one from SlowRollWV) you should get the spacer for the fork deflectors from SlowRollWV. Cost of the deflector plates was around $79. Not sure if/what he charges for the spacer. If you need the bracket, you can either get the Yamaha one (which may break again) or the DiamondR. I don't know what he charges for the passing light spacer.
  2. Be funny if he sent another right.
  3. We get a 20% discount from Rumbling Pride. When you buy a mast you get a free flag or one at a reduce price. I have one on my bike and the quality is very good. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=72679
  4. When I've had my brakes done, the wear was even. I think the trick is to ride lots !
  5. Tough choice...but think I'd rather be out riding.
  6. The Yamaha passenger back rest is STR-4XY62-10-H0 http://www.yamaha-motor.ca/pna/detail.php?sectionId=AC&groupId=19&subGroupId=26&categoryId=7&itemId=1233&unitId=2996&unitName=2009%2BRoyal%2BStar%2BVenture&unitGroup=MC&unitYear=2009&items_per_page=all&page=1
  7. So others don't have to look it up...it's an '83
  8. Primary was to see how many shirts would be requested after a period of time. I'll take the numbers to the company that did the shirts a couple years ago and based on the quantity will get a price. We'll go from there.
  9. They also have red ones ...http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Pcs-Red-LED-Rectangle-Reflector-Tail-Brake-Indicate-Rear-Fog-Light-Car-Truck-/310971901814?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item48675ea776 The red ones are only $14
  10. You said something before about having 2 IT guys doing mechanical work....see....doesn't take 2 IT guys. One does a fine job on his own ! :-p
  11. LOL - actually....I have that TOO ! Anyone looking to dress up their bike... talk to SlowRollWV.
  12. We better not bring our wives...from his posts I think Reiny has his eyes on other things too. :-)
  13. I received the stainless fork deflectors from SlowRollWV today (Charles/Chuck). I have one of the original passing light spacers and I know Chuck also makes a bracket. With the spacer the rubber on the deflector bracket no longer made contact with the fork. Recently, one of my brackets broke at one of the screw holes that mount the bracket to the bike (covered under warranty). It probably broke because of the vibration. While waiting for the replacement assembly to arrive from Yamaha, I messaged Chuck and found out that he makes stainless deflector plates. They arrived today. :-) Pictures of the deflectors, how the spacer moves them back to the original location and a couple pics of some of the other quality items Chuck makes (carb cover, twinkie cover, passenger floorboard backing plate, horn bracket for behind passenger pegs). Thank you Charles ! Great items !
  14. When I replaced my OEM filters with K&N I didn't have to rejet anything. Straight replacement. I don't know if it changes the vacuum...but nothing wrong with doing a carb sync if it makes you feel better about replacing the filters.
  15. You can download owners and service manuals from http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1828 Other manuals and guides http://www.venturerider.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=91 To change the air filters ... http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=37107 http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=19187
  16. Okay...that makes 3 things !
  17. I have a Clearview XL wind screen on mine. That makes two things on my bike you want to check out, doesn't it?
  18. Yeah...I can hear her tone of voice here.
  19. Glad I was able to help. Paying it forward/back for all the things you and others on this forum have done for me. If we had an audience they would have been laughing...how many times did you and I discuss something and even though we were saying it differently...meant the same thing. Yeah... two IT guys ! Sorry we ran out of time before you had to leave. I didn't like leaving and having your bike not fully back together. (fairing off, tank off, seats off, light bar hanging.....) Is the BuddyRich/Zumo working ? When you get the passing light spacer, come over and we'll make sure everything is aimed properly. Bring Robin over and we can go for a ride/ice cream.
  20. I see you have a '99. Is it still the original shock? If so...15 years...think you got your moneys worth out of it !
  21. As long as nothing is broken on the bike (glad you got it all back together - how is the BuddyRich cable working out?)
