I have a Canadian Tire lift and the pads don't have much spare room to fit under the adapter. I've very leery about lifing the bike with it. Wish the pads were longer.

Left side of bike back of the side cover below the seat.... there is a round plastic "cover" that you can knock out and is the perfect size for a cigarette/accessory outlet. I installed one there and with an inline fuse to the battery and have fuse and heavy enough wiring to be able to run an air compressor. VERY easy install. I didn't get a marine accessory outlet and just put in a regular car cigarette lighter. Haven't shorted it out yet in 3 years of all weather riding.

Here's another write up on it - http://www.wired.com/2014/07/polaris-three-wheel/

Not sure of final plans for when we are expected back in Winterburn but will let you know as soon as possible !

Could also replace the left turn signal bulbs front and back. Few bucks just to totally rule that out. Or swap left/right and see if it follows one of the bulbs.

Yo, Adrian, I did it! (Passing lamp install)

I'll be the one to ask...did you get and install the passing light spacer? If you've wired it up and it works, be a quick job to pull the tank (3 bolts, turn off petcock, disconnect fuel hose) and run a hot wire from the battery to the front (put it under the panels that the other cables run under) and install a relay. If you get together with someone from the group this could be done in a short time -
I'm thinking early afternoon. I should be able to escape and that will give Nancy a chance to be "alone" with her new family. I don't know the area but they live in the Winterburn area (West side of Edmonton). I'm hoping to be able to borrow a vehicle so I should be somewhat mobile.

Per FAQ's (that I found interesting) : What is it? Tilting Motor Works has developed a breakthrough leaning front trike conversion that offers the stability and safety benefits of 3 wheels with the handling of a motorcycle. The conversion involves removing the front fork and the front wheel and replacing it with a new front end that bolts to the frame. Toyota's I-Road does the same thing with the front end, front wheels shift forward and backwards so the vehicle leans - http://www.autonet.ca/en/2014/03/24/toyota-i-road Can the unit be mounted on other motorcycles? No, the mounting bracket won’t fit other bikes. In the future TMW will produce brackets to fit other motorcycles, both from Harley-Davidson and from other manufacturers. How is the unit attached to the motorcycle? The mounting bracket bolts around both down tubes. No drilling, welding, cutting or other alterations to the frame are needed. How wide is it? The standard TMW unit used on all Harley-Davidson motorcycles is about 43 inches wide. The Honda Gold Wing conversion is about 52 inches wide. Here they mention the Gold Wing but it isn't in the list of what can be converted. (?) What motorcycles can be converted? The current production unit is designed to fit all models in Harley-Davidson’s Touring line including the Road King, Road Glide, Street Glide and Electra Glide models. We are now also equipped to handle Softails, Dynas, Sportsters and V-Rods such as the Heritage Softail Classic, the Fat Boy, the Wide Glide, and the XL 1200C. We can't yet convert a Tri Glide or a Spyder! :-) Here are reviews : http://rideapart.com/2014/07/exclusive-review-tilting-motor-works/ (has better pictures than the manufacturer site) ...conversion replaces the front end of a motorcycle with an elegant two-wheeled rig that includes suspension, braking and steering components. The wheels are independently sprung, and each features a perimeter-style brake rotor and caliper setup. Steering inputs have been transferred from the steering stem to a telelever-style armature The conversion includes a hydraulic pump and tilt lock that kicks in when the bike comes to a stop. It levels the bike to the horizon, and locks it in an upright position, which means that the rider can come to a stop without taking his or her feet off of the floorboards, and the bike remains upright and completely stable http://www.examiner.com/article/tilting-motor-works-offers-a-fun-trike-conversion

We'll be in Edmonton on Aug 16/17th to meet Nancy's birth family but I might have an opportunity to get away on the 17th. If anyone is interested in meeting for a coffee, let me know. We won't have the bike but always good to meet members !

Flight is booked. Mid August we go to meet the family ! For Nancy each day is better than the day before. Highs and lows for emotions though. Hard to describe but Nancy says she has discovered new feelings of happiness and is feeling more "complete". All the attention will be focused on Nancy that weekend so I'll be there to take pictures and watch her as she is swarmed with family, tears of joys.... this will be amazing !

Nancy likes hers and everytime she gets on the bike we put them in position so she doesn't have to adjust them while we are moving. This way, when she wants to put her feet up she can, or have her feet on the floorboards. When I'm riding solo, the passenger floorboards are always up and the passenger highway pegs in their rear position. Occasionally when Nancy has her feet up and I come to a stop I'll bump her feet but she is getting better at sliding her feet back when we come to a stop. We recommend them.

Happy birthday !!!! Don & Nancy

Other than paint, seats, minor changes to mechanical (eg clutch basket is up to an ' i ')...bike hasn't changed since '99. Why mess with near perfection?

Nancy has been getting emails/phone calls/texts from everyone in her birth family. Evenings her cell phone is going off constantly. Still amazed at the reception and attention she has been getting. Her birth mother asked her last night if we could come to Edmonton for Saturday August 16th. I started looking at options for getting out there the least expensive way and shortest time frame so looks like we'd end up flying out on the 15th and come back on the 18th. Now to come up with $1600 to cover the flight and figure out where we'd stay. This is moving so fast...but after 44 years for Nancy... can't come fast enough.

I took pictures and will post during the day (Thursday)

When she gets home tell her all the guys on the forum thought you made the best decision to bring it home with you. Really... almost the full warranty with it, low miles.... Take her for a ride on the 2010 one day and ask her what she thinks of the graphics. Next day take her for a ride on the midnight and tell her you took the flames off. Keep rotating until she clues in. Of course you'll have to make sure all the other bits match. She might notice the different chrome and shiny bits.

Did you go with K&N's? If so... when you "cleaned" them, did you put the spray on them afterwards? I have K&N's and the first time I did mine I over "lubed" them and the bike wouldn't run. Had to take them back out and soak up some of the K&N fluid. Afterwards the bike ran normally. Too much restricts air flow.
