Just throwing this out....but if a location in South Western Ontario were available with hotel/camp ground nearby... what would be the interest?
Lots of riding in the area (Niagara Falls, Bruce Peninsula, Hockley Valley).

For any work to do on the Venture... check the "read only" tech talk first then try the search button from the title bar (at the bottom of the window click on http://www.venturerider.org and above that put in your search terms).
Not sure if I'm going to be able to leave on Thursday now. I might be into the Friday or Saturday situation.
If I'm not at Casablanca...don't wait for me.
Give you an idea of the reception we received...at the family gathering on Saturday, one of Nancy's Aunts arrived and was out the door of the van before it came to a full stop and RAN to where Nancy was to meet her for the first time.
Nancy and her mother went to visit her grandmother on Sunday. Had a great visit!
This has been a great experience for me so I can only imagine what this has been for Nancy. As an adoptee she never knew her ancestry and took on the family that adopted her. Now she is finding out about her birth heritage. I can't imagine living for so many years before finding out your roots. No wonder she says she feels more "complete" now.
Talking with Nancy's birth mother ... she has said that she always felt that something was missing all her life and incomplete. Her husband says that he sees the changes in her since she and Nancy reconnected.
This is just the start of Nancy reconnecting with her birth family....
2pm-
Tim Horton's - Anthony Hendy to 100 Ave turn off, head east short distance, WalMart on the left, there is a Timmie Ho's to the north of their parking lot
Flying out tomorrow... back on Monday.
We'll be in Athabasca Saturday night and back in Edmonton on Sunday. I'll try to post when I find out what time we'll be back in Edmonton and hopefully meet up with local members for a coffee.
If anyone else is interested... send me an email thru my profile and include your email address. Not sure how much access I'll have to a computer.
The bracket that came with the tach snapped on me when I tried to bend it. It may not even be "metal".
I used the clamp that came with the tach and had a shop make a duplicate of the bracket but 1/4" longer and had them put a 90 degree bend in it. Cost me $50 to have stainless steel laser cut but they gave me two...used one...so if anyone wants one, let me know.
SlowrollWV makes the deflector plates. If you have the passing light bracket he also makes a plate so you can move the deflectors back so they touch the forks properly
What is your planned route thru Ontario? Lots of members in South Western Ontario. Depending on time/route...you might have people to ride with you or stop for coffee.
I'm in Kitchener, along the 401. I have to work during the day but depending on time...
That's if you go with the 629's (Elite) then you need the $79 lower cord (Z series). If you go with the 279's the cords are $30 (P series).
The Z series cords are "heavy duty". On my Performance set I've already replaced a couple upper and lower cords (P series). If the $79 cords last longer than the cheaper ones it is equivalent
I've looked at them and a couple other local sites. Idea of ordering direct from J&M with headset already installed is appealing.
I didn't have an problems installing our current headsets but I had a lot of second thoughts when I cut into my (brand new at the time) $400 Shoei helmet. It was like drilling the holes in my trunk lid for the luggage rack.
J&M has 15% off promo code and depending on shipping cost vs picking it up in the States.... have to weigh the options.
