  1. Just wondering what the plans are for riding to the International. I'm working on the Friday (possibly 1/2 day) and could either leave Friday afternoon or Saturday morning. I only see a couple people listed as a "yes", but lets start the discussions now.
  2. Hope our members in the South are safe. Read on CNN that there was lots of rain, tornadoes, and fatalities.
  3. Reiny will be meeting us at the Service Centre on the 401 just East of Cambridge at 7am. Should be at Casablanca early enough to enjoy breakfast.
  4. A week's vacation at Freebirds.... ?
  5. Human nature ?
  6. At least after all that you now have spare parts !
  7. Who did you quote? Maybe what they said was nothing?
  8. Heal fast Rick !
  9. Would you mind posting prices here?
  10. Hope everyone is alright and safe.
  11. Important is that the hole be as small as possible and that where the bend (bottom of the U) is solid. You will have to grind off a little from each side and stuff the clip closed a bit. Measurements from what I have is : 5/16" wide 1/2" tall
  12. I've been thru heavy rain and haven't had any issues. When you say it "stops working"....is there anything showing on the controller? Since you have a 2011....don't waste your time. Take it to the dealer for warranty work.
  13. Looks neat ! With the retro dash it suits the bike.
  14. Glad you are relatively okay. Heal quickly !
  15. Hope Angel heals quickly !
  16. We'll all be coming back on Sunday. I believe the route back is thru Detroit.
  17. Original tires were either Dunlop 404 or Bridgestones. Best tire to get is the Dunlop E3's.
  18. Anyone looking to do this... the holes in use with the trunk in stock position have nuts welded to the frame. If you move the trunk back then you'll need 4 nuts. Even though it doesn't sound like a lot....makes a difference.
  19. Reiny - we can ride down to Casablanca together.
  20. With such a diverse group....age, religion, politics, colour, nationality....people have different beliefs, cultures, history. I've always been open to listening to people's beliefs, open to discussions, tolerant and accepting of differences....but you won't catch me telling someone that because they don't agree with my beliefs that they are wrong. If someone told you that in their view that only "born again Christians" had the ear of God and that He doesn't hear your prayers....then that person should be praying extra for Skid, and anyone else that needs comfort and prayers. And Dan... don't stop what you are doing.
  21. Everyone should get off their ass and take it for a ride.
  22. Sorry to hear about your accident. Recover quickly !
  23. After a bit of talking and dinner cooked and served by Reiny we got to work. Longest time spent was to figure out here to put the module and the siren. Between Reiny, Abdul, Carl and I we considered multiple locations before we decided on one. Isn't easy on a bike to find a place with space for things like this. Found a great spot for the antenna. Once in position we did a temporary install of the wiring to make sure everything was working. Since we aren't hooking up the remote start we took our best guess on which wire from the module connected to the wires on the bike. By 8:30 we were close to getting it working before we decided to pack it in for the night. Saga continues Saturday afternoon so anyone else want to join in is more than welcome.
