  9. I need to talk with MarCarl... but Ontario rally in July. Possibly Thursday July 6th to 9th. Think this would tie in nicely for people taking time off for the National holidays. For Canadians...July 1 is on the Saturday so some will have the Friday off, others the Monday. For our friends in the States, July 1st is a Tuesday. Other option is for Thursday July 13th to the 16th....or July 20th to 23rd.
  10. Sorry to hear about this Ray. Our condolences to you and your family.
  11. Sorry to hear about your accident. Most important thing is that you mend. How did the accident happen?
  12. REALLY happy for you and your daughter. Hopefully it is something that prayers or time has healed.
  13. Thought it was interesting that Trump took Arkansas. Isn't that Clinton's "home" state?
  14. "let them come with open arms as long as they learn our language and customs and become American Citizens and become productive to society" What is American customs though? Different heritages do things differently. It's like saying they should join the "American religion". What is that? Customs have developed over the years with influence from the early immigrants whether they be Irish, French, British, Italian, Polish, Chinese....or Catholic, Protestant, Jewish.... Our customs have become a melding of everything. Even TV shows and news affect and change our customs on a daily basis. We have to accept the differences just as some coming to "our world" have to take holidays based on our calendar even though their religious holidays differ from ours. They are forced not to work on our holidays and forced to work on theirs. Over all....the influx of immigrants is a positive thing and increases our productivity and the way we do things. In all groups, there are bad apples. Look at bikers - good ones (us), and bad ones that give us all a bad reputation. When someone goes to another country, whether they are on vacation or becoming citizens, the only real thing they have to obey are the laws. Sometimes customs will get you in trouble...but over all...you have to follow the law of the land. If your neighbours aren't following the laws, then the recourse is the Police or the courts.
  15. If anyone is breaking the law, no matter who they are, legal or illegal immigrants, colour, race, etc.... call the Police. If your hydro bill went up because the lights are on your meter, I would take your hydro bills to the landlord and ask them to contribute to the increase or at least get those circuits off your meter. I would also document the infractions so that if you decide to leave before the end of your lease you can show cause, show that your ability to enjoy the unit you rent has been impacted by the other tenants. Document each time you talk to the landlord raising these issues. Make a log as it happens....it stands up in court. And if there are late night parties, call your landlord at the time it happens - if you can't sleep your landlord may as well get woken up too. Side note: one of the great things about this forum is that we can have discussions like this with people speaking their mind, and no one gets into a pi$$ing match with others. Great group !
  16. What Trader said was : "No matter where you go in the world there are people who have some personal pride and consideration for others...or not. All we can do is be the best person we can without imposing our will, beliefs or preferences on others." If a person has consideration for others, they don't party late in the evening or disregard their neighbours and trash the neighbourhood. Lack of consideration crosses nationality, sexuality, colour, borders, and religion. The saying "there's one in every crowd" holds true for everything. The only person you can control is yourself. Be considerate of your neighbour, treat others (that deserve it) with respect. When the person saw their flags being taken down they called the Police. They probably thought you were a threat and were stealing their flags. In all cases, dialog first, listening as well as speaking, and think two or three times before taking actions.
  17. Just throwing this out there...but how many people (immigrants, first generation American or second generation American) say that they are Italian Americans, or Polish Americans, or Portuguese Americans, or African Americans? How many Americans say that they are Italian or Greek and don't even mention "America". We get the same thing in Canada... but isn't mentioning their heritage the same thing as the order of the flag? Does this bother you as well? The USA and Canada are melting pots, accepting people from all over the world...consider the greeting on the Statue of Liberty. Bringing in immigrants broadens the "pool" so to speak and for the most part improves the country. And come to think of it, if your ancestors aren't Natives, we all come from immigrants. Welcome your neighbours, get to know them. Don't jump to telling them that the Stars and Stripes should be on top until you know them and consider it your opinion that the American flag should be on top and not a law. When I am in the USA, does it bother you that I have the Canadian flag on my bike? Doesn't bother me if I see an American flag in Canada. Yes it shows you are proud, and flying a person's "home" country's flag shows that they are proud of their heritage. They come to America to become American...but their heritage is their heritage and everyone should be proud of their heritage, even in their adopted country.
  18. Welcome to the forum !
  19. I had my first Stebel for about five years and removed it when the chrome finish was deteriorating. About three years ago I used the brackets that were made by SlowrollWV and mounted a Stebel on each side behind the passenger floorboards. Never had a problem with any of the three and I've ridden in some heavy rain, dust...
  20. For those following yet another tire discussion....good info on this link about tires and what things mean. http://www.webbikeworld.com/Motorcycle-tires/tire-data.htm

  23. 7 hour talk time and 2.5hr charge time. "In the box" comes with the 7 pin connector. The Honda 5 pin is http://www.sena.com/product/micro-usb-to-5-pin-din-cable-for-honda-goldwing/ Not sure if they have a boxed set that has the Honda cord or if you have to get it separately. The Freewire is shown as "coming soon" Did you see their "Smart Helmet" ? Noise cancelling with built in bluetooth - http://www.sena.com/product/noise-control-helmet/ They've also added a camera to their bluetooth headsets - http://www.sena.com/product/10c/
  24. I put a fuse block inside my fairing and run power thru it for my passing lights, GPS, and tach. I used velcro to stick it to the inside fairing. Relay for passing lights is also velcroed to the fairing (sticky backside). As for passing lights, I use the GE H7616 narrow beam bulbs. I don't think I've seen anything brighter or more focussed. They draw 37.5w and have a 7 degree spread. My left one points slightly ahead and my right on slightly right to touch the shoulder of the road. Height is set to the same height as my low beam. They are 3000 to 3999K, Warm White. Here is a link to one site...I've never bought from them and pricing on the H7616 varies from seller to seller. http://www.replacementlightbulbs.com/lamph7616.html I also have a fuse block inside the passenger back rest to power my two Stebel horns and rear lighting and trailer lights.
  25. Congratulations !
