  1. I documented my experience... was great response from Custom Dynamics and no issue with the signal lights. You sure they sent you the right ones? http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=63006&highlight=custom+dynamics Are these the ones you ordered? What part number did you get? 7507 is the connector type. http://www.customdynamics.com/yamaha_turn_signal_retro.htm
  2. Little more than 2 weeks before the largest bike show in North America. Who's going and when? I'll be there on the Saturday late afternoon or early evening. Have to work that day so might end up going on Sunday but will confirm closer to the event. http://www.supershowevents.com/super/index.html
  3. Second that. Its free, doesn't slow down the computer, from Microsoft (should be safe), and I haven't had any problems on my systems or my kids (both in their 20's).
  4. Link to thread - http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=57769
  5. Second that on the R-Mark. Happy with mine. One comment on the hidden hitch. Steve (The Count) picked one up and the spot to hook up the chains isn't very accessible. Check this out on whatever hitch you look at.
  6. Have a great trip and safe return ! Merry Christmas (or "happy holidays" if one prefers) !!!!
  7. Planning on heading from the International to the West Coast. End of July/beginning of August and I'll plan my route for it.
  8. Whomever did it did a good write up ! Whoever doesn't like it.... too bad for them for to err is human, to forgive divine. This one should go too anyone who wants to learn to speak proper English !
  9. Maybe someone looking at building a garage should give this a consideration ! From what I've seen on TV... modular homes should be better built (consistent and square, built inside using jigs) since they are made in a factory and basically just get dropped into position. Properly constructed foundation and you have your house built in a couple days. The modular builders might modify layout.
  10. Completed as well
  11. My original setting was -5 and DST corrections always on. Leaving the corrections on and changing my zone to -6 fixed it. As another test, changed back to -5 (where it should be) and turned on "Automatically detect DST setting". Still seems to be okay.
  12. Went into User CP/Edit Options and subtracted an hour in the Time Zone. For Ontario it should be -5 (Eastern) but when I changed it to -6 (Central) it fixed the time issue on posts.
  13. Testing.... changed my time offset from GMT by an hour.
  14. Damn daylight saving time !
  15. I find if I ask for a supervisor I get the same sort of response - "they aren't available". Being persistent helps and money in your pocket is always a good thing. So... for getting 50% off... I assume you already paid the dealer the full price? Firestone is probably sending you a cheque for the difference in 6-8 weeks? If so... doubt that your battle is over yet !
  16. His post said it was an '87 - 1st Gen. Welcome to the forum !
  17. Little bit of snow on the ground early this morning here.
  18. If it took that long then it still isn't right. I wouldn't rely on it. Try the bios upgrade first. If there are still issues, then see my previous post - help out the economy (Taiwan/China) and replace the system. (and if anyone suggest Dell because they are American.... look at their components and tell me what % is made in North America!)
  19. Have to agree that it is probably your motherboard chip set that doesn't support the larger drive. You could flash the 1018 version but it might not just be the bios version that has the limitation but the actual chip set on your board. Easiest way.... just spring for a new motherboard. Then ask Santa for : #1 - new cpu (since new board won't support the old one) #2 - new memory (see #1). Since you have to replace... go for at least 6gb #3 - upgrade your video card (possibly related to #1... or since you are replacing everything else) #4 - all the money you are spending on the internals.... can't put them in an old case ! #5 - and similarily to #4.... you'll have a fast machine with great graphics and a shiny new case.... you can't use that old monitor now can you??? #6 - better get a new chair while you are at it.... and maybe a desk.... new keyboard.... new mouse.... After all that... at least you'll be able to use the new drive ! Hope you are on "Santa's" good list ! And really.... I'm glad I could help !
  20. Single seat though..... why? Will it still accept a pillion seat for a passenger or were the mounts modified? Other than that.... take it for a spin and listen for a clutch whine. Like other's have said, check to make sure the electronics work, I'd look under the seat to see how the trailer was wired in, look for leaking oil under the rear shock (replacement will cost you around $700 I believe). If you can... take a look at a new one in a showroom - no difference between a 2012 and 1999 model ! Hey.... another benefit of Yamaha not making changes ! This way you can compare and see if anything is missing or looks out of place. Check trunk and side bags for cracks as well.
  21. I have the ISimple adapter and am happy with it. It also keeps the iPod charged so there is always a drain on the battery. If I'm not riding for a few days I unplug the iPod.
  22. '07 Mustang GT
  23. Great to see you back !
  24. On a positive note... can't get much worse!
  25. Congratulations !
