Using GSM (cell txt messages) you don't have to pay a monthly service fee. Put in a pay-as-you-go SIM card active for voice and text and top it up when you need to. If you get a card that doesn't expire... low cost.

I picked up the TLC liners a couple years ago based on some recommendations I saw on here. Good material, strong zippers, and you can have a line of embroidery done on the bags (all 3 ... like your name) included in the price. Went with the Elite 3's during the summer and the feel is better than the Bridgestones. If you get into the brakes the EBC pads are recommended. Based on year and (low) mileage... run some Seafoam thru the gas to help clean things out and come to Maintenance Day at Freebird's (Don) for assistance with carb tune or anything else you want to do or learn about on the bike. Welcome to the site !

Congratulations !

He will be importing them and price should be around $110 + shipping. BTW...I will not be profiting from this. If it works as advertised I can provide contact info for him.

Got a GPS tracking device from someone I work with that is planning on selling them. It takes a sim card (GSM) that with pay as you go will respond to text messages and reports its position (latitude/longitude), speed, battery condition, and distance. I'm planning on mounting it inside the fairing and will report on how well it works out. I've done some initial testing in the car and works as advertised. You can either call the sim's phone number or send a text message to get : latitude and longitude by SMS or GPRS, and check position by Google earth. Auto Report position based on a time frame and repetitions you txt to it (eg: every 5 minutes for 20 repetitions) Send the last location if it enters into the blind area (out of gps view) Add or change Username and Password. Monitoring and SOS feature. Monitoring uses a built-in microphone so you can "monitor" sounds around it (listen to conversations Geofence alert to the user when it breaches the restricted area send an alert of movement to the user when it begins to move. send an alert of overspeed to the user when it moves exceed of the restricted speed. It will send an alert of low battery to the user if the battery is low. Specs : 46(L)x64(W)x17(H) mm and weighs 50g, GSM sensitivity GSM sensitivity - less than -102dBm GPS chipset SirF III chipset GPS sensitivity -159dBm GPS accuracy 5m Battery life about 48 hrs Comes with two 3.7V DC Li-Ion Battery,700mA, wall charger, and connection for bike/car (wire in), magnetic cover Battery charges off the bike so I'll wire it in using a relay to turn on charging using the ignition. Although you can use something like this to track young drivers in your car for going over a set speed limit, location, or outside a set area, I'm thinking if the bike is ever stolen I can locate it either based on movement or locate it simply by sending it a txt message. Doesn't report to a web site so there are no monthly fees, and using a pay as you go card can add $ to it as you need, say over the summer months when you are riding/touring. Easy way for your significant other to find out where you are -okay.... that can be good or bad.

I'd tend to lean towards the 07 because of the warranty but as mentioned how much longer does the warranty go? $3500/# months left. What are the tires like on the 2000? Original? Remember tires should be replaced by age as well as wear. Same with fluids, how much will it cost you to replace all fluids? Are brakes worn more on one than the other (wear depends on rider). What are the differences in chrome and accessories? Consider that the accessories could be more valuable on one bike vs the other. Colour can be another determining factor. If you don't like the colour of one of them that would be a major determining factor too. Good luck with either !

Before buying the RSV I rode a Gold Wing and a Harley Electra Glide Ultra (2010). Nice bike but found the seating position didn't suit me and although the vibration smoothed out when moving, I didn't like the "shake" at idle.

I agree... I like it the way it is now too. Think the moderators do a great job and for the most part allow discussions to run unless things become personal.

My apologies to all members and the moderators if my post appeared to be politically motivated. I didn't it intend to be so. I'm with the majority of members that think the moderators do a great job of policing the site. I had read an article regarding the number of people having to survive on food stamps and that the numbers are growing rapidly. This was not a slight against those on food stamps as there is a need. Hence my starting this one and asking for no responses or comments. The links were to articles that stated statistics regarding food stamp users, the growing number of people/families below the poverty level, and the loss of manufacturing jobs to less paying service industry jobs. I didn't want to start a political discussion or get members upset with each other. Merely to state some facts that I was made aware of that I thought members would find interesting. No slam against Republicans, Democrats, Liberals, Conservatives, et al. Again, my apologies to the moderators and members that considered my intent to start a political battle. Don

Just wanted to draw attention to the number of people that have had to go on food stamps. For those that missed the original article... I'll post it here so people can read it. I ask that no comments be made but for people to simply read the article and keep their thoughts and opinions to themselves. Link Removed by Freebird.

I started a thread about the number of American's who use food vouchers (over 43million) and the thread has "disappeared". Just wondering if it was due to the subject of the thread itself or comments made. When a thread is deleted... do the moderators send the offender or the OP a message saying why it was removed? I hope it wasn't what I had posted but am curious as to why the thread was deleted. I certainly wasn't trying to start something but was surprised by the number of people/families in the U.S. that depend on food vouchers just to get by.

Would be nice if beside "VRChat" on the menu if it had something like "VRChat (5)" so you know someone is already there instead of having to launch it.

Is there any way to show on the web site how many people are in the forum? Don - not sure if you can add a feature like this but if I log in and see that there are people already in the forum I'd be more inclined to log into it.

Second that ! I went from a Virago 1100 (just under 500lbs) and it is true... be careful at slow speeds and get used to the new bike before taking a passenger. One tip... make sure the bike is rolling before taking a turn at slow speeds !
