Piggybacker does deliver to Canada I believe. Nice trailer ! Some people say that the Harbor Freight one is a knock off of the Piggybacker but too many differences. If you look at wheel size, quality... Piggybacker comes with bumper, etc... but is also around $1200 I believe. Depending on how often you use it and how much you want to spend... $320 for the HF is a good deal. As for Aluma... $3500+ but an awesome trailer !
-
Also depends on how much you are looking at spending. If you are close to the border.... Harbor Freight in the States has the Tag-Along with is under $400. There are also 20% off coupons in magazines which will bring it closer to $320. http://www.harborfreight.com/mt.html http://www.harborfreight.com/600-lb-capacity-78-inch-tag-along-trailer-66771.html I have this trailer and it works great ! Not sure how things work in Alberta... but go the license bureau and get a plate for a "home made" trailer. Cross the border, buy the trailer, assemble it in the parking lot, put your plate on it, cross the border. Or... buy it in the States and when you cross into Canada tell them it is a kit to make a home made trailer. In Ontario... if you import a trailer or vehicle you have to pay $200+ as an import duty. If you are looking for a hitch... check Carbon One's ads. His products are top quality.

I had emailed Rumbling Pride regarding the 20% discount on the mounts and asked whether or not it was based on a bulk order or if our members could order individually. I haven't received a reply on this so sent the question again. As soon as I get an answer I'll post here. Agreed... Don is not a store and with different options available for mounts he shouldn't be trying to order the mounts too.

We need to have enough orders so that Don can order 100 flags and NOT have to sit on an inventory flags. If anyone else wants a flag, post now so that we get enough to order.
-
Send $$$$ !!!! Once I have final numbers with cash in hand for those that want shirts the order will be run. Need firm numbers (confirmed by those sending payment). Don't want to order 100 and then only get 40 sold (for example). If I get firm orders for 60, we'll run 60. If we get an order for 73, we'll run 73. Sorry... but since this is as non-profit I won't be holding extras. ALSO.... three lines of text will be embroidered on the front - Name, Screen Name, location. If shirt is for someone else (eg Wife), include their name in the order.

I go back to work (days) next week as well. If you'd like to meet for a coffee after dinner that would be great ! Anyone else interested....

Thinking this will be a winter addition to the bike... Christmas present to the bike! :-) If anyone local has them... would like to see how they work with Nancy and I sitting on the bike.
-
Just wondering if anyone that has these on a 2nd Gen (not triked) and what your thoughts are? I like the idea of the passenger comfort but do they get in the riders way? When backing the bike up, do you make sure they are in the back position or can you back up the bike with them forward? At $250 they seem expensive... but worthwhile?

Ad has been posted in classifieds - http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=4266 Hope it isn't confusing... but to explain. DO NOT DELAY in ordering your shirts as this will be a one time run with no extra shirts produced. Cost of shirts including HST (including $2/shirt for use of VR.org crest) is : mens - $18.50 ; womens - $20.25 (based on 50 units ordered). Shipping charges - I went to the post office and had them give me pricing for shipping 2 shirts and 4 shirts to BC and Manitoba. To BC - $12.50 for 2, $15.25 for 4 To Manitoba - $10.25 for 2, $12.75 for 4 Use this pricing to give a fair approximation of shipping to your location. Eg. Saskatchewan/Nova Scotia use $11.50 for two shirts, $14 for four When calculating your cost, multiply quantity times mens/ladies price based on cost shown, and add shipping. If paying by PayPal (use Personal/Gift), when you submit via PayPal there is an option for the sender to pay the fee or the seller.... please accept "sender pays" . If doing online banking and sending money via email (probably easiest way) your bank will charge you a small fee - usually $1.50 This is purely at cost with no profit coming to me. My costs are : - Screen printer (based on 50 shirts ordered) : mens shirt $14.35, womens shirt $15.85 - Freebird - use of crest - $2 per shirt - Shipping - based on price received from Canada Post with 7 day delivery For International orders (U.S., Australia, UK) send me info regarding how many shirts you would like and your address and I'll get a price from the Post Office on shipping charge before you submit payment. Personal hand delivery is available within a reasonable distance from Kitchener to eliminate shipping costs. Clear as mud? Any questions please post here. Once we get the total number of shirts to print figured out, I will have the screen printer run the shirts. DO NOT DELAY in ordering your shirts as this will be a one time run with no extra shirts produced.

Got a price from Canada Post... To BC... - 2 shirts - approx $12.50 - 4 shirts - approx $15.25 To Winnipeg - 2 shirts - approx $10.25 - 4 shirts - approx $12.75 They showed me the template they use and if it is thin enough to fit thru a mail slot then shipping charge would only be $2.75. For sure one shirt could go at this amount. Might be able to fit 2 in if I put a piece of cardboard in to keep it flat. For mailers... I can get envelopes thru work. I'll see about creating a member ad and post a link here.

Confirmed with screeen printer. Two versions of shirts at same price - one with maple leafe (not considered a flag Carl) and leaf on sleeve instead. Womens sizes can be ordered at $1.50 more.

Introduction and questions about my new (almost) ride RSV Millennium
XV1100SE replied to 9Grenzen's topic in Watering Hole
Dunlop E3's or Avon's are the usual recommendations. Do a search for both and you can decide for yourself. -
6"x9" are standard.

Keep in mind that I work for Toyota (Japanese company obviously) and we have a number of Chinese staff as well.... ------------ At a job site, the foreman has four employees, an Italian, a Frenchman, a Scott, and a Chinese. There is a pile of gravel that needs to be moved but no machinery around to do the job so it has to be done by hand. He tells the Italian and Frenchman to get shovels and the Scott to get a wheel barrow. The Chinese guy he tasks with supplies. He gives them two hours to complete the work and goes off to check on other jobs on the site. Two hours later he returns to see the Italian, Frenchman, and Scott sitting on the pile of gravel reading newspapers. The gravel is where it was when he left. To the Italian, the foreman says "I told you to get a shovel and move the gravel. Why haven't you done it ?!! " The Italian responds in a broken English/Italian... "You saida dat the Chinese guy was in charga dah supplies. I could notta finda the Chinese guy to get a shovel." He asks the Frenchman and in broken English/French gets the reply..."we we, I couldn'ta finda Chinese guy either". He looks at the Scott and the Scottsman says ...."Eigh could notta find him either". Mad that the work he asked to be done wasn't even started, he start checking around the site for the Chinese guy, getting madder by the minute. Can't find him anywhere... he walks past the pile of gravel with the Italian, Frenchman, and Scottsman still laying there reading newspapers...storming his way to the office.... Suddenly.... the Chinese guy jumps out at him from behind the pile of gravel and yells "SUPPLIES !!!!" (translated to English he was trying to say "surprise")

Will be the VR.Org emblem on a black cloth. This is the new one with the continents in red. It is the emblem that was on the back of this year's International shirts.

I have asked Rumbling Pride if the 20% discount on masts would be available to members who order directly from Rumbling Pride or if it is based on a bulk order. Ideally members would order their own masts. I will update this thread once I get a response from them.

With approval of Don (Freebird), I contacted Rumbling Pride regarding having new flags made. Their flags are highway speed rated and double stitched. You can see below their response. Shipping charges would also be applied (from Don's location). What we (Freebird) would like is to get an indication of how many members would like a flag and how many. In my case, I'll take two (one for use now, and one for future). http://www.rumblingpride.com/ http://www.rumblingpride.com/Flags_Masts_Access.htm http://www.rumblingpride.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=RP&Category_Code=BAR-K ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Thank you for contacting us, we would love to provide you with a quote for your custom flag order. This is what we can do for you and your group! For a quantity 100 - $9.00 ea.; qty. 250- $8.00 ea.; qty. 500 $7.40 ea.; qty. 1000 - $6.55 ea. A proof of your flag would be sent for your approval prior to flag production. If you like I can send you one of our sample flags so that you can see the quality of our product. Just please advise of a ship to address and we will get one out to you asap! Our flags do have a lifetime warranty if flown on one of our mounting kits. For replacement you would need the flag and the proof of purchase/receipt. For your group of riders on the Venture, we recommend our Fold-down Bar Mount in Standard or Premium. I can also offer you a 20% discount on all mounting kits. Thank you for your interest in our products and if you need further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me!
