Not sure if we need to say pro or con unions and take "sides". That could lead the thread to start going South. If someone chooses to say their opinions on unions so be it. Remember.... you can state your opinion but don't direct comments AT a poster. My Father worked at Massey Ferguson for 43 years in the factory making combines and was a union member. During those years union representation was necessary as legislation wasn't in place for protecting workers. Yes there were strikes for weeks/months at a time... and those were lean periods. I heard the comment "we didn't make up what we lost" several times as the increased wages/benefits didn't make up for those strike weeks. Unions gave us a lot of what we have now in the way of rights of workers thru legislation. I'm sure that at some companies unions are still necesary.... but for the majority I don't think they are.

“Leveling Links”, and a few other “VERY proud new owner” questions …
XV1100SE replied to Buck_Roy's topic in Watering Hole
In addition to the brake light LED... Custom Dynamics also has run/turn/brake replacements. Talk about lighting up your rear ! http://www.customdynamics.com/motorcycle_dynamic_clusters.htm This is the write up I did on them - http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=63006 Does your bike have a wing on the trunk? This gives you a high mounted brake light but I don't find it very bright. On handling.... what tires are on the bike? Anything older than 7 years should be replaced despite wear (DOT number indicates month/year of make). Bridgestones are NOT recommended. Try Dunlop E3's... they seem to be the recommended tire. Also... check your steering head. The bike will feel like it is wandering if too loose. See http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=511 for instructions. I tighten mine every 10,000km (6,000 miles). Good way to test "on the road" is to let go of the handle bar and start coasting at city speeds. Don't move your hands too far away from the grips because if it is too loose as the speed drops off you'll go into almost a tank slapper. Another test is with the bike on the lift turn the handle bars 1/2 way to one side and let go of the grips. If it doesn't stay where you put it... too loose. Do this test in both directions. -
I picked up a multi-meter at Harbor Freight ($30) that also does rpm thru induction. Best way to go so you have voltage/amperage/rpm in one box. Worth the trip to the U.S. or order online. http://www.harborfreight.com/lcd-automotive-multimeter-with-tachometer-kit-95670.html Think this location is closest to you - BELLINGHAM, WA #00339 (106.1 mi) 1155 E. You look at some of the old shows now (Gleason, Carson, Skelton, Benny, Burnett) or tv shows ... brings back a lot of memories.... some are timeless.

I know for Ontario you can't log into certain Government sites (Ontario Works, Unemployment) if you are out of the Province.

Set up a meet & eat and we'll be there !

Totally agree with you.

1 day (translated to 1 hour) in jail and time spent at a house to get clean. That is NOT justice.

Still... neat idea. I can't see the licensing bureau letting a bike get past unlicensed that can go 80mph. Wonder what insurance would be.

Sorry to hear you didn't fit their criteria. If you were to spay Lilly.... would that put you in a "pass"? I agree.... would probably help calm her down.

Good deal for you !

Congratulations. May there be many more safe miles.

There are a couple shows in Toronto. December one is Manufacturers. Jan is the big one with bikes, accessories, clothing. Think there is on in the Spring too.
