Most women just don't get the various shades of dirty clothes. What we like to do is stop at a grocery store for fresh buns/cold cuts rather than carry with us. The cooler is usually for things like drinks, condiments. Usually put things we will want quick access to in the trunk.

If it is for a couple days... I use one saddlebag for both our clothes (have a liner that fits to the contours - but don't overload it or the lid won't close properly), the other saddlebag for tools, cleaner for the wind screen, gloves, coat liners. The trunk is for things like water, cameras, laptop... Longer trips where camping is involved we take the trailer (Harbor Freight Tag-along). Room for sleeping bags, tent, cooler, etc.

My apology as well to any member who were offended by my posts. As much as I wanted the thread to stay on topic I responded to comments from other posters. When I come on VR.org I sort choose "Today's Posts" and did not see that it was under Prayers. May every member of VR.org have a safe and happy Christmas. Say a prayer for the children that have been lost.

I refuse to post the shooter's name in any post. What is posted on the Internet is there "forever". It is the victims, both children and adults, that need to be remembered. Anyone that worked on the scene will need assistance, as will any child who attended the school. Already children from other classes are questioning why their schoolmates, their friends were tanken away and not them. I feel for the parents... imagine the loss of their ownly child, of the brother and sister who will no longer have their sibling sitting down to dinner. They will remember their loss for the rest of their lives. How they will deal with the presents they were planning on giving their child this Christmas, of seeing their child's bedroom and personal affects around them. No one should have to deal with this now, or in the future. -
These people need to be stopped.... in a legal way. I see that they think this is God's work and that it was His judgement to take them away, that they "deserved" it. You can't stop people from believing what they will. An Ammendment grants people the freedom of expression. I'm not condoning their behaviour. They definitely lack moral judgment between right and wrong. Everyone needs to sign the petition condemming the group as a hate group if thats what it takes to stop them. Hopefully action can be taken to block them from going anywhere near the families.

On a positive note... the thread was kept civil but as I mentioned there (although I responded in detail to comments posted) it needed to stay on the topic of condolences to the families. The topic of how the U.S. moves forward after so many tragedies will be discussed for some time to come. But this is not the forum to discuss. Hummingbird... although you entered into the fray in the thread.... you did so with civility and concern for the families affected. This is a strength I find in members of VR.org where 99% can have open discussions without personal attacks. I include you in that 99% and value your opinions and responses.

Regarding "Tradedy in Conn." .... Would like to thank the Moderators for letting the thread go as long as they did and then closing it on request of the original poster. What started out as expressions of sympathy for the victims and their families turned into a discussion on gun control. I'll admit to going beyond the original intent of the thread but after seeing families in their grief came back to the realization that this is about the families and discussion of guns (pro and con) has no place here. Was a civil discussion... but was time to end it. Thank you again.

For those on contract.... call your carrier and ask them to review your usage and plan. Tell them you need to cut costs and would like a plan more suited to your usage. They can usually provide you with a different plan more suited to your usage (such as adding a long distance bundle, reducing your minutes, reducing your data plan). If you are looking at alternative carriers, call yours and ask for the "customer satisfaction" or "retention" group. Quite often when you explain that you are looking at alternative carriers in order to reduce cost they'll start offering you discounts - eg one or more months free, free service.....
