  1. Sorry to hear that. Give her our best wishes for a speedy recovery.
  2. I'd be looking to see where your next closest dealer is.
  3. In my selection... I too wanted a unit that played mp3s and had bluetooth. Being waterproof was my prime consideration which narrowed it down to the Zumo. Then was a matter of whether I wanted satellite radio/weather or not. I ended up going with the Zumo 660. To tie it into the audio system on the RSV, you'll want the Buddy Rich cable. Not only can you play mp3's and hear them and directions thru the headsets, bluetooth sync with your smartphone allows you to make and receive phone calls. Bluetooth will sync your smartphone address book with the Zumo so you can search the gps address book for names (which get wiped off when you disconnect between the units). Pricey but being waterproof, with the features it has, and an easily visible screen in sunlight... worth it.
  4. Congratulations !!!
  5. Enjoy the ride !
  6. Good luck with your 2nd round. Definitely let me know if you make it to the offer stage.
  7. That is another mistake. Never rush to work !
  8. The bolts holding the plastic cover around the ignition switch work as well... same thread and size.
  9. Congratulations !
  10. Congrats ! Nice looking bike.
  11. Did you trade the pumpkin in ?

    SNOW

They are calling for rain, freezing rain, and snow here tomorrow.
  13. Geez... the things you learn on this forum ! Now I know why the thread on propane tanks are the way they are and to change all tires on an AWD vehicle at the same time ! One day someone is going to ask the meaning of life and someone on the forum will have the answer ! (other than Monty Python's version)
  14. Ian - I sent you a PM. With you in London, maybe we can arrange a meet and greet in Woodstock? Anyone else from the area available ? Short notice but if everyone is available, Saturday afternoon might work.
  15. Found it - 90338-11152-00 PLUG,SPEC'L SHAPE If you look at the parts diagram (http://www.venturerider.org/private/RSVparts.pdf) under Crankcase (page C7) it is part number 9. Partzilla (http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/yamaha/YP-90338-11152-00.html?gclid=CP6rg9qxibcCFYU-MgodYnUA6w) shows list price $5.74 and their price $4.36 If you haven't changed your coolant in a few years you might want to consider doing the whole job. Isn't very difficult and doesn't take much time. When you pull those drain plugs you will lose coolant and the tip is to cut off a soda bottle ("pop bottle" for us Canadians) and catch the coolant as it drains out (cut bottom off bottle and screw lid on top). See http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=37353 on how to change your coolant.
  16. Store bought smokes are $10 a pack, bike insurance on my '09 RSV is $1100/year, gas is $4.60/U.S. gallon, plate for the bike is $42/year, pay 13% sales tax... But...I can go to the Dr or hospital and don't get charged for it. Might be longer wait times than elsewhere... but I won't go bankrupt or get cut off by insurance if I'm sick.
  17. Wish he'd change the back ground and text - find it difficult to read. Especially the white on white !
  18. Not sure if a place that sells cb's would be able to suggest something. Issue might be the mount.
  19. Who me? I'm innocent ! Just thought the variation in cost was interesting between hospitals/regions.
  20. Better shop around for a hospital in the U.S. before checking in ! http://money.cnn.com/2013/05/08/news/economy/hospital-bills/ One of the reasons I'm glad to be Canadian and have health care ! I've NEVER received a bill for going to a Dr or hospital in Canada.
  21. Have seen those at the motorcycle show in Toronto. Think they run $4,000 +
  22. No problem making that decision today ! Went for a 4 hour ride ! I was [cough] [cough] sick from work today. Or is that sick OF work ? Either way.... was a great ride ! Even met another RSV rider (non-member).
  23. Toyota has said that there will be no new plants in the next 4 years. What they are going to do is make the Lexus ES300 on the same line they make the Camry.
  24. Getting so hard to get parts for your Venture that you are scrounging for anything you can get? Just bite the bullet and get a bike manufactured in THIS Millenium !
  25. I use Microsoft's "Security Essentials". It is a free download from Microsoft and includes anti-virus and malware detection. Doesn't slow the computer down the way some of the other products do.
