  1. I've been running E3's front and rear (stock sizes) since I got rid of the Bridgestones. In September I changed front and back tires after our trip West. I got 35,000 km /21,750 miles out of the front. I was down to the wear bars and the ride was still reasonable....not like brand new, and I rode easy at the end. Because the rear was also worn down, I replaced it shortly afterwards. I ride 37psi front, 40psi rear, and about 25psi rear shock. I'll stick with Dunlop. Don't want to take the chance that I'd get the Avon's that crack, or the Metzlers that chunk.

  8. Good point on the fuel filter... I did a write up on changing the fuel filter - http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=76515
  9. other way of testing sooner is to turn the fuel petcock off and then trying to start the bike. That will draw fuel from the carbs. If the bike starts, run it for a few minutes then shut the bike off, open the fuel petcock and then turn the key to the start position - you should hear ticking. Have you sync'd the carbs since you got the bike? Also check the air filters.
  10. I find the Clearview tint to be minimal. No problem at night.
  11. I have my gps base (Garmin Zumo 660) wired direct to the battery with a 5A fuse so it is live ALL the time. I considered having it switched thru a relay for when the bike is running, but running it direct seemed to be the easiest way. Only problem with having it connected to a live circuit is if you leave the gps in the cradle all the time. I make sure I take my gps off anytime I park the bike so I'm in the habit of putting it in the trunk when I go into a store , stopped at a restaurant. or stopped for the night. Leaving it connected indefinitely will keep the gps charged but draws power from the bike's battery
  12. Have you reviewed the install instructions in the 2nd gen/tech section? It should give you ideas on the passing lamp install
  13. If the person hasn't cut down their windscreen I think most of us look thru the windshield. Having the spoiler in the down position would add to blocking your view.
  14. I don't think they had it a couple years ago when I got my Utopia back rest http://www.utpr.com/moreitems.html

  24. Even though the software version might be a year or two old, it does map updates.
  25. When you say you can't take it with you, do you mean you don't have a way to transport it ? If you need to sell it to help pay for the move that is one thing, but if you just need to find a way to physically move it that is different. There are probably members that can help with moving it.
