1987 Venture Royale 30-35K on it. Plastic in good shape. Compressor works but only when jumped with a hot lead (any ideas on this problem?) Picking it up Sunday. Co-worker selling it to me for a good price IMHO. Sat in garage for a lot of years but has been gone through and runs. 1 spark plug fouled out. Can't believe I'm actually considering buying this 1gen being a 2nd gen lover. Any idea what the value actually is via guesstament with info given? I haven't even seen it yet but his description is something I believe.

I hate you, hate hate hate you. and how does your bride feel about still having to walk the beat while your relaxing at home? Poor woman. Did I happen to mention I don't like you? Beyond all that, Congrats Rick, you can now allow your blood pressure to drop to some resemblance of normal. God Bless. Mike

Actually this dryer is a used model and has 3 connectors. Going by this link I did it correctly. I believe the extra wires on dryer are for all the bells and whistles it has and theres plenty. What bothers me is my old dryer (if you can call a 3 year old dryer old) had the timer go out on it. Simple fix right? Actually fairly straight forward, it's just the part is 115.00 Who wouldve thought a simple part like that would cost as much as a third of a new dryer? Anywho, I picked up this gem for 70.00 used and delivered for 25.00. All's good in mikes world now

Nope, both 3 post, just more wires going to them

BikeMaster® TIRE PRESSURE INDICATOR CAPS
Mikealiasmike replied to Dave3's topic in General Tech Talk
Yep, I'm quite sure your right. Guess I needed more sleep but it does seem by utilizing a different gauge cap as you pointed out would be better then 25% low using actual correct one. Believe it or not I had it right the first time I typed it out but went the other way once I looked at it and retyped it. :doh:Thanks for correcting me. God Bless. mike -
BikeMaster® TIRE PRESSURE INDICATOR CAPS
Mikealiasmike replied to Dave3's topic in General Tech Talk
Why not buy a lower value cap for it? So if you fill tire to 36 lbs go with the 30 lb cap. From the get go your already 20% or so over pressure so when it does change colors your only 4 lbs. Low but drivable to get air. Hope my maths right. -
I do like the sound of it for what we got to hear. Any way to hear a drive by or more reving? Would love to hear it through some paces. Thanks and nice job

I have 2 wall hanging ventless propane heaters, one on each floor of my insulated quonset. As was stated before, the by product is moisture. I have it so bad I get dripping off the ceiling from condensation sometimes. I'm going to look for a regular house furnace next and only use the wall mounts to heat things up in a hurry. So imho, I'd go with a vented.

Sure enjoyed that video. Makes me want to make that trip all the more. 2 years and I'm going.

Hmmmm what a cowinkiedink, just happened to list a set in classifieds today http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=3170 What do you have now? Are they REAL loud? Might consider a trade. God Bless. Mike

You are kidding right? I've had mine up to 116 and that was all I could get out of it. No wind at all, clear view on both sides and straight, level Iowa road. Was told if I had dropped it back into 4th I coulda got 3-4 more mph but that was it. Actual speed since I have a speedohealer. Bike was as tight at 116 as it would be at 55mph. Never shook or rattled at all.

Perhaps another train of thought, find a nice place to hide it in vehicle, preferably trunk unloaded and in a gun safe bolted to floor. http://www.center-of-mass.com/Store_InCarGunSafe.htm http://cargunsafe.net/ There's a couple sites but theres tons more. Remember, where you lay your head is where your home is at that time. And yes, I do carry when camping, rallies, but follow the states laws accordingly. Keeps me out of trouble with my work

Not posting any pictures of what might or might not be Russ's bike on a trailer. Nope, I refuse to stoop THAT low as to show the bike once again being trailered or worked on AGAIN. But keep in mind if it's still on the trailer come Cody, it will be plastered... fair enough Russ????? Anyway, here's some more pics from PIP 2010.

Seems everyone at PIP was watching their floorboards REAL carefully since mine went missing on ride up to Laporte. So beings I couldnt steal... er...um... borrow one of theirs, does anybody have a spare running around they can part with? I just need the rubber insert for a 2nd gen passenger floorboard. If so let me know how much so I can get that fixed up. God Bless. Mike

No fuel injection on ANY Ventures unless someones spent and found a way to put it on. Far as anyone here knows theres nothing planned for 2011 either.- 19 replies

Pics I have aren't the greatest but it's all I have. I wouldnt use the same trunk I got because of the lock. I've replaced it twice and the 3rd is already toast. Just a POS. Looking for a new lock that will work. But as for the rack, I used a backrest from another RSTD and cut it down. So trunk/backrest is still quick release. I love that part. Hope this helps. God Bless. Mike
