  1. I have the light bar and headlight bucket for a 2005. Just need to find them but there around here somewhere. He can PM me if he'd like
  2. New fuel pump ordered. Cheapest I found was from http://www.yamahapartsmonster.com/oemparts/a/yam/50047be8f8700209bc79907e/fuel-tank 238.00 delivered. Most others were from 280-325.00 OEM. Thanks for all the input. Mike
  3. Model I installed which is coming back out is Import Direct Part number E16041 Thanks for the help. Looking for replacement pump now
  4. Not smelling gas in oil and it looks good
  5. Yes on fuel pump. Installed a couple weeks ago. Will go out and check crankcase
  6. Started up bike to go for a quick ride to store and smelled gas before starting it. 2005 RSTD Once started raw gas was pouring out of left side tail pipe and tail pipe joints. Sure hope someone in here has suggestions
  7. Oh, and I checked the ground and cleaned the contacts. Is Ignition fuse the one that runs the pump?
  8. Where is the fuse for the fuel pump? Thought I had bike all ready to go for a ride with my son and pump will not kick on. Had a problem a week or so ago and was left on side of the road. Towed home. Tore it all apart, pump worked then but now no. Disconnected pump line to carbs so I'm bypassing carbs completely just to see if it'll work. Anyone? Down to last hope on this trip
  9. Fired right up after I disconnected all the fuel lines and released vapor lock. Thought about that too but coincidentally I had dropped in some sea foam in that very tank so should have removed any water.
  10. no suction noise when gas tank opened and as for "roll over valve" where can/do I check that?
  11. I had this thread up when I went outside and hadn't looked for updates before posting my results. I want to thank everyone who responded. This home is GREAT. Even with that Rick (Sarge) guy. Love ya bro
  12. Just tore it all apart. Still wouldn't run bypassing pump. Pump was running (Had to see if it would before I disconnected power) I do believe it's another case of vapor lock. Once I reconnected everything I could see fuel going through filter. Vapor lock must've freed up, it started. This make #4 times this has happened. Seriously considering selling my Mistress.
  13. Would this possibly work with a few mods? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/crt-p60504/overview/
  14. The exact same thing happened last night that happened 2 years ago. This time during a storm and with teenage son along on his bike. Last time it was a vapor lock This time not so sure. Driving along no problems then acted like it was running out of gas, felt like running on 2 cylinders. Then died. Tried turning it over and not even a sputter. Towed it home and tried starting it this morning and fuel pump does not click at all. Going to try a new fuel pump (OEM is 240.00) thinking about the Mr. Gasket 42's mod but the reviews on that pump are frigid at best. Suggestions? Anybody know what the PSI is? Carters pump is 120.00 and 4 PSI. Any help would be appreciated. Mike
  15. Thanks everyone for the input. Decided to rewire the bar lights to relay and new fuse on it's own circuit. Also decided to keep with the 35W bulbs. Thinking it's worked well enough so far, just would have been nice to get a little more light. Thanks again for the links Vzuden.
  16. I looked for link to "how to" and couldn't find it. Would you happen to know where it is? Thanks for any help you can give and appreciate the response.
  17. OK, here's what I have and know so far. I have an aftermarket light bar on the front of my RSTD. One of the H3 35 bulbs burnt out. Local parts store had a H3 55 (Headlight bulb) I tried it and it lit up great until... blown fuse. I realize it's probably drawing too much amperage with 55w instead of 35. The light bar is tied into the headlight wiring (Done at the shop when I bought it) It had heavy enough wire I believe to hold a larger amp fuse. Has anybody else tried this or am I destined to buy the 35's?
  18. So sorry for your loss and the rest of the family. God has his reasons and one day hopefully we'll all eventually understand the "why's"
  19. Wow, Paypal really messed things up when they changed website. Took forever. Money sent and some extra
  20. What about RSTD'S? We'd sure like to buy an upgrade to these sails Yamaha calls windshields
  21. Now these comments got me to thinking about upgrading my stereo. This set is supposed to be amplified at 900 watts. Anybody running these? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Polk-Chrome-Motorcycle-Speaker-System-Cycle-Sounds-Killer-iPhone-Galaxy-Ready-/221434643324?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item338e88837c&vxp=mtr
  22. Ohio don't have a helmet law so since from his state flag on profile I'm guessing he's from there. Might not wear one all the time. Not looking for debate on the why's or why nots of helmet usage, just making an observation. As for those speakers, I wonder if they make them in bullet style for a RSTD W/O fairing....
  23. I wish. Have to save time for my trip riding to Alaska in a couple years. 5 weeks worth of vacation takes time to build. But Thanks a bunch for the invite
  24. Not this year, JoDee's cousins daughter is getting married and I'm doing the photography. Sure wish I could have.
  25. Give it a few days Bubber. Not all of us get on regularly. I went awol for months but riding seasons back and so am I. Did ya miss me?
