  3. 5 hours and 14 minutes left on this beauty... is ANYBODY bidding on this? Ebay Item number: 180317769854
  4. Actually Don, that link isn't working correctly. The date and time hasn't moved. Still says 2 days and something hours when in all actuality it only has 8 hours left... Went to Ebay itself and looked it up again. Go figure. And Dragonslayer.... you might have to buy both but look what you could get out of that bike... sweet deal... and no, I have no idea who owns it or have anything to do with it, I just hate to see such a nice bike go to strangeras and not one of our own. God Bless. Mike
  5. Condor, actually that's how my very first message in thread was posted. Real long and copied from the web address on the top of the page. Nobody could get it then either. I'm sure Don will figure it out as he always does. He's good that way Ride safe and God Bless. P.S. sure wish I had the money for the bike and trailer though. Things barely broke in...
  6. That's it, all this name changing and I'm sitting here with the same name. From now on, I want to be called mikealiasmike instead of MikealiasMike. So it is written, so shall it be done. I think I forgot my meds today....
  7. Installed. Actually very easy and straight forward. I didn't like the metal to metal notion so I put electrical tape between with flat rubber washer and threadlock. After putting on brackets, the backrest just drops right in. Now to find the leveling links I bought and lost somewhere in this mess. Brake pads ordered and coming, I WANT SPRING!!!
  8. Here's the response from Protac and a picture. Mike This picture show the black bracket but not too well. It is about 5 inches long. It bolts to the front bolt of the rear fender rail, the tube is welded to the front and has a 12 degree forward tilt. The royal star prior to 2005 was a long bracket that used the front and rear bolt to attach. The Venture and the Royal Tour deluxe 2005 and up takes the same backrest. Harold I got to give it to a company that responds to questions about used products and not just new quickly.
  9. I went to their web site but can't see if the parts that bolt to the bike go in front of the chrome or behind. grrrrrrrrrrr
  10. Anybody with a RSTD have the Protac drivers backrest? I picked one up used but just can't see how it connects to rear fender. Just won't line up. Does it go behind the chromepiece for the saddlebags? Pics would be helpful. God Bless. Mike
  11. Thank you chabicheka for getting link to work. Bongobobny just think, 15406 miles.... nice paint, matching trailer worth close to 1000.00, heck, bike is worth the price as it stands and more.... feel the draw... the magnetic pull.... think of the pair matched up at a M&E or Int Rally.... you want it.... you owe it to yourself.... you NEED IT.... and it's as close as PA God Bless. Mike
  12. Think I got link fixed. Nope. I give up
  13. I don't understand? Why would it be removed?
  14. I'm not good at this stuff at all and I tried your link to no avail. Sheese If anybody wants to see it it's ebay #180317769854. Perhaps it's just me
  15. Saw this on Ebay and had to share for those with some money left after Christmas. http://vi.ebaydesc.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemDesc&item=180317769854&t=0&ds=2&seller=fuquayfire&js=e583:1&hr=http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&viewitemdesc=&ds=2&seller=fuquayfire&caz.html=&ebaydesc=1&js=e583%3A1&item=180317769854,200293479692&t=0&viewitem=&hr=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2Febaymotors%2Fws%2FeBayISAPI.dll%3FViewItem&caz.html
  16. Now if you could fabricate some sort of mount for these... http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=results/Category_ID=236/home_id=60/mode=cat/cat236.htm This would be sweet.

  18. Well Pete, hope the surgery has gone well for you and your up and at riding this summer. Remember the Hub in Ark for the International rally this Aug. I'm sure there will be plenty of ornery folks.. er.. um... articulate members to meet. But watch out for that Sarge guy, he's bad business :duck:oh yea, and steer clear of Cerberus, he'll lead you astray as sure as the tides will rise and fall. Take care and heal soon. God Bless. Mike
  19. I have both items on my RSTD.I can't say how to install the headlight mod on a Venture other then making sure you put sensor in location where incipient light won't mess it up and kick on in the middle of the night (another one of those don't ask how I know comments). As for the brake light modulator, it's quite simple and yes, you can tie into brake wires under seat. Wish I had taken pictures to show you but trust me, if I can do it anybody can. Good luck
  20. Oh I will be using this quote in my future. That's a classic, if not it WILL BE in my repetoire Funny as heck.
  21. If you ever decide to sell that darling, I would'nt mind making an offer. When you start it. does it still make sound like a blender chewing up ice? Those were notorious for that. Beautiful bike. God Bless. Mike
