Trip to Trail Ridge Road and Estes Park
Mikealiasmike replied to Mikealiasmike's topic in Watering Hole
I am sorry for not calling or anything, when we came past Loveland it was getting late and the trailer didn't have running lights so we wanted to get over the mountain b4 dark. I promise when I get back there again (and I will) I'll be calling on you for more directions to go and a riding partner since my bride refuses to ride in the mountains lol. God Bless. mike -

Trip to Trail Ridge Road and Estes Park
Mikealiasmike replied to Mikealiasmike's topic in Watering Hole
We came up initially on the Loveland side then back down and stayed with my wifes uncle in Grand Lake. We rode back up to check out Estes Park and do a little sight seeing. Went broke up there, due to the free day probably lost a few more hairs but it was a blast nonetheless. I have 7 rolls of film still to develop and video from camcorder to download. When I get it all loaded I'll put a link in here somewhere so folks can see what their missing if they haven't visited yet. It was all worth it. God Bless. Mike -

Just could'nt leave some out -
Well, this vacation is about over (currrently in a little hamburg in Kansas) We trailored the bike out from Iowa due to not having a side car for the youngest . Went to Scottsbluff Neb first to visit family then to Grand Canyon. Trail Ridge road was a BLAST. Loved the scenery. Wife road behind in truck and got some video which I'll put on my space later. Only got rain 1 day and it was the day that it was free for everyone... so you can imagine what it was like between the rain and everybody stopping every 100 feet. Anyway, here's a few pics. God Bless. P.S. looking forward to Arkansas and Cody next.

07 venture carb question
Mikealiasmike replied to brcmos's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Took mine in because cruise control wasn't working and they thought the carbs were running poorly... shop mechanic said "Can't believe the bike was still running, 2 carbs 8 millibars off and the other 2 15" He synced them and then gave me the bad news, cruise control switch was "worn out" Heck, I only got 28k on 2005 RSTD. He's still fixing it for free since it's still under warrantee. Bad part is it won't be in till Wed and were leaving to Colorado tomm grrrrrrrr. I did pick up a carb sync tool, the kind with the gauges and will be looking for someone to show me how to use it one day. Hints given to local friends lol. God Bless -

Not sure of route I'm going to take but am gonna try and meet up with as many members as possible in my trek. Will be bringing the member list for all the states I'll be traveling through so if theres time (I have about 15 days total to play) will try and contact some that are listed as riding partners. Thanks for the offer and I'll let you know when it's closer. God Bless. Mike

Is anybody else going to tour after Cody roundup? Black owl, and Grandpagak and I are riding to Cody together but after that I'm looking at possibly heading down to the Grand Canyon then Texas way then back up to Iowa. Will be camping along the way. God Bless. Mike

Great video. I also live in Iowa and like to mention that stop signs are overrated and like going around a curve where yellow suggested speed sign are, their are for reference alone. Short of a few loose cows running wild you can drive all day sometimes and not come across another car. Usually on weekends though. Like to know more on the camera and mounting. God Bless and who knows, we just might meet up one day. God Bless. Mike

Actually, the wife and I were going to take a ride to Iowa Speedway after my Dawg house was finished being spray insulated but it's taking them longer then expected. So if they get done soon enough I'll probably check here first and if no picture with the 3 fingers "For the intimidator" I'll go for a ride. God Bless. Mike

Hmmmm, can I be the spoiler here and show one with 3 fingers???? Nawwww, I'll wait for the next target.

Oh I'm a big Nascar fan but one without a nascar venue anywhere near, and since I can't get the time off due to saving it for International rally and Cody WY I guess I'll sit here and wait . God Bless. Mike

OK, I lost it on the girly magazine comment. That was the best laugh of the day. Thankful I didn't have a mouthful of coffee while reading that. Sarge, I have some shamwows I bought from an auction. Just buy a chamois and consider yourself smarter then others who spent the big bucks. If you want one I'll be more then happy to send it to you but I don't think their worth the postage. God Bless. Mike

I also have Hillis's quick release bolts and man what a dream they are. What used to take 15-20 minutes has become 3-4 minute task and that sipping on a fine beverage. He's also fantastic to work with and HONEST. Can't ask for a better seller then that. God Bless. Mike

I like your step dads prognosis... ghost bike :rotfl::happy65: -
Nice job Bob getting away with pic Guess I really didn't give it much thought as to how hard it would be to get lol. Now unless someone comes up with a pic with a dam I'll be posting the next item cause I know exactly where to get this one filled. Your next target... you and your bike in front of a real dam in the river. No earthen dams, no dikes, no beavers. Only concrete or steel will do. by Scooter Bob and Karen

OK, so folks on here like it called Guardian bell but I've always used it to keep the Gremlins at bay that want to take away the fun from the ride. http://www.gremlinbells.com/about_us.htm so synonymsRus come into play. As for the location, I like the lowest point thats been mentioned and always reinforced for ties. God Bless. Mike
