OK, I have to tell about a time I got pulled over for rolling through a stop sign. I was talking to my wife on my cell phone. OK I admit it. I'm saying goodbye as he walks up and I tell her, "Alright baby, I love you" LEO looks down at me and says "Excuse me but did you just call me baby and say you love me" I start to chuckle and tell him I was talking to my wife on phone and saying goodbye, but with all due respect, your not that cute. He lost it, cracked up told me to get moving. Did'nt even mention the stop sign.

Howdy folks, I'm gonna try and get some more contributions for this cause. Had a couple folks (and I truely appreciate it) respond but they need more help. Theres got to be artisans out there who'll donate items for the auction. Cups, gremlin bells, bird houses, quilts, pretty much anything that can raise money. I won't be bumping this up any more but I have to try once more. Thanks for reading. God bless. Mike

If they have laser rader, you can be picked up in a pack of 100 bikes. They don't need to be calibrated as conventional radar does daily so using the "Can I see the calibration certificate for the day" wisdom goes out the window. At least thats what I've heard from LEO's who use them. God Bless and ride safe. Mike

saddle bag covers
Mikealiasmike replied to Godlover's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I also bought the saddlebag covers but just can't get them right. If anybody's interested in them let me know, will trade for a case of corona. You'll need to purchase the chrome strips cause mine won't work anymore. Their not expensive but I'm going a different route. They do look good on there but I want to custom paint or something different. God Bless. Mike -

Yep, met up with him in Iowa Falls, as I said before, he's a great kid and you did good. One of these days JoDee and I will meet up with him and his g/f for lunch. Perhaps you and Gary could make it too. God Bless. Mike

I know we all do our share for charities on here and poker runs etc... but the misses Tinystar is on the committee for raising stock at the Iowa food bank. She's asked me to mention it here to see if we can get any donations for the auction. If you have a hobby like making bird houses, knick knacks, embroidery or anything along those lines it would be greatly appreciated. You can contact me here or my wife or give me a call. Whatever is donated is tax deductable and a receipt can be sent if desired. Thanks for reading and God Bless. Ride safe. Mike

Shinko update
Mikealiasmike replied to longrider805's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Welcome aboard and in the family. Appreciate the info on tires. Always looking for the "Next best thing" lol Ride safe and keep us informed. God Bless. Mike -
Yes, it is the same trunk. Trunks worked fine but the locks are junk. Not sure what brand of lock would work but figured I'd try here first. It's just got to cover the old hole (approx 1") and connect with the lower section. Couldnt remember what the locks on the Ventures looked like

The lock on my aftermarket trunk broke again (2nd time) and after paying 35 bucks for the replacement I refuse to buy another POS. Does anybody have a trunk thats toast but the locks still good with key they care to sell? I'm hoping I can improvise it to cover the bolt lock hole and connect with lower section. Any help would be appreciated. God Bless Mike

Hey, who put that camera on the back of my bike? Those stop signs remind me of my neck of the woods with the same result often Neat camera and great resolution. Thanks for sharing. God Bless. Mike

Son still is gun shy to take his written test after failing it twice. Lady at the registry even offered to draw him pictures if neccesary to help but no go. Appreciate the offer and one day I will take you up on it. Gonna visit the Grand Canyon one of these days lol. God Bless. Mike -
How many lights?
Mikealiasmike replied to Shipper's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I did both front and rear, have had many folks say they saw lights modulating well ahead of needing to brake suddenly. As for the back brake I bought the "Back Off" unit. Really gets the attention of folks following too close. My opinion in this matter and it does differ from some is whatever it takes to get folks to see me then so be it including modulating lights. Got a T-shirt bright orange road construction type the reads "Can you see me now Dumb As&" Ride safe and God Bless. Mike -
Just died
Mikealiasmike replied to Mikealiasmike's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
It was the main fuse. My fault because I allowed the aux amp power line for stereo to touch frame. Sometimes I get in too much of a rush and just mess up. Thanks for all the input. God Bless. Mike -
If I can get off for this I'll be there also. Could use some directions on how to use my carb sync for the first time. God Bless. Mike

Congrats on the new-2-u ride. Pretty sweet looking. Hope to see you out on the road one day so I can get a better look. God Bless. mike:thumbsup:

If your referring to the fuse box with the 5 fuses in it I checked them all. Going to call Yammy dealer to make sure I'm still under warranty. It's getting close... God Bless. Mike -
Just died
Mikealiasmike replied to Mikealiasmike's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Nothing at all. No lights, horn, fuel pump, nothing. I exchanged the fuses with new ones just in case. Is there another I don't know about? I'll go out and check the terminals right now and check back. Thanks for the response. Mike -
Was starting bike for the first time and it roared right up. Was going to put it on a couple blocks so I could get a jack underneath to change tire and it flat out died. Nothing. I had taken the saddlebags off and had the wires hanging from the amp and figured I had shorted out a fuse when it died. I mean dead, nothing turns on at all. Checked the fuses and their fine. Any suggestions for my 05RSTD? God Bless. Mike
