    Got my 08 V star yesterday, changing from 87 royale. Sure miss my center pegs.But I will get use to it. I am 5-9 and been told to set the handle bars back for more comfort. What is the best way risers or 2010 handle bars. Opinions will really help. Mike:think:

    Thank you monty and buddy. The test light was ever so dim but you could see it. The problem is in add on accessories. Will have to trace it down, disconected it NO LIGHT NOW A great place to be. thanks again

    Battery goes dead in about a week of no use (rain). I was told to put a fluke meter in between the ground wire and neg post and start pulling fuses. Battery reads 12.3 volts across the post and 11.5 with the fluke meter between the ground wire and the post.No change with pulling the fuses.(switch off position) NEED HELP Mike

    That was my next fix. Just didn't want to seem crazy. makes sense to me if you have resistor plugs, you don't need two. still going to try the ohms test on the NGKs before buying. because all mine are open circuit. thanks for the help mike

    open circuit on all resitisors. Checked with two different ohm meters. going to go to napa and get NGKs. They are orignal, I think all yamaha Thanks for all your imput mike

    If you test thre wire 0 ohms it is copper. In the end cap there is a resistor of some kind. can't be tested with o meter. How do you know if it is good or not.?

    dragon rider mentions 1300 v star forum. where is that.? I am 64 and shrinking and told the bars are too far away. thanks for the input. mike

    Before I switch from my 87 royale to this 07 1300 v star. what fix is there for the handle bars. new cables and breake lines.? Mike

    It is a twin, water cooled 1300 80cubic inch belt driven. Never had one of those. Had a 1979 750 triple and that vibrated but the wheel base was long. It was very smooth. Guess I have to try it out.

    It is a 07 V star 1300 has leather saddle bags. The bike is blue. They told me it would be 100# lighter. 712lb wet. I know now is is not a RSV thanks. mike

    My 87 royale rode very smooth and that was a concern. It belonged to the dealers brother in law. say's the wife would't let him drive it very much (hard to believe). It is called a full dressed VSTAR 1300 touring. Has saddle bags. I am 64 and shrinking so the 3 inch shorter seat hieght is a great deal. he is asking $7995.00.

    looking at a 2007 RSV with only 140 mi on the bike. are there any known problems with the bike in general. My 87 royal is getting wore out. Need help.
