Barry your gonna see a world of difference in handling and low end torque
You won't have the leg room like the Venture but putting on highway pegs helps a lot if not for my knees I still have my Wing!
Note you will love the ABS !!!
Yep these Ventures are a beast ! They received this name from HD riders not for being top heavy but for the motor itself ! The beast
The more throttle you give the meaner these motors get period no matter how much throttle you give these motors beg for more
With the rev.limiter you can never hurt these motors open it up and let the beast loose !
To feel the true power of these beast ride a 83 venture with no rev.limiter as these old beast will hit 9,000 rpm's in a heart beat or better yet ride a V-Max on steroids
Truly work of art how well made these motor are made !
Rumors for years is the V-max in the Venture but like it states rumors
Happy Birthday Don may your day be blessed and full of joy as for say DQ !
And let's see what Patty calls you 6 months into her retirement
Peg said I needed to go back to work I'm being a pain in her
:Happy Birthday:
Well I bid on another shirt and what I don't like is my bid showing .25 really come on really just glad I'm not cheap when it goes toward the kids
Thanks Lewis for all you !!!!!!!!!!
Ok I finally got the stator out what would take me 2hr or so to R&R took me most of the day just to remove the stator. Be glad when I can use my left knee again still hurts when I try to bend down on the floor so I had to roll on the floor again
After removing stator I see why I was getting sure weird readings on my meter ! I never seen reading like I was getting so I figured I was doing something wrong that and my legs hurting dint help either
Stator looks really good except for one tower as it was burnt so that tells me it had a weak spot normally when I remove one the whole thing is burnt
New stator & regulator be in Tuesday this will give me some riding time to check cycle over before the trip to TN
one lead on each wire while the other one on case those are my readings
Course I'm using a harbor freight ohm meter my snap-on meter is at work
Been too long since I done this I'm trying to get my mind to work
When I go in tomorrow for Rehab I'll get the snap-on meter as it has more setting
Know I'm doing something wrong here
Ok I went out to the garage to go over it again as I was using frame work earlier
Using stator case this was my readings
Low ohm reading 1 / 0.3 , 2 / 0.3 , 3 / 0.3
High ohm reading 1/ 0.8 , 2/ 1.1 , 3/ 0.9
THKS guys for the info. Sure does help
I was thinking it be the regulator but after crawling around on the floor for a while avoiding my knee is not fun ! Got to the point after reading the OHM meter four times and tracing wires I was pretty much done I looked like a fat fish out of water lol
I ordered a regulator from Ebay should and hope to have it here Monday afternoon
Dint want to thread stealer so here's my issues

First off that tells me you have no locked gate free access to your yard
I would've been pissed him being in my back yard that also tells me he has no regard or respect toward you or Konnie if he had he would've knocked on your door first asking permission also now days anybody gets hurt on your property your liable
Valkyrie Interstate are heavier than First or second Gen. But they ride like a GoldWing reason I sold mine is due to it being a dinosaur parts were very $$$
14900 is really low! left overs around are 17400 no less!
When it comes down to it it's your call I road just about every touring bike expect Victory and I have to say by far Second Gen gives the best leg room for me anyway I love the Wing as for power and handling bar none but it tore my knees up I love the Venture yet Peg prefers the Wing for better back support
Thks Tom for this post as it brings back a big smile !
