  1. Also the 83 models are the meanest of the Venture line. Your going to love riding the Beast once you get it up and going but be careful these XVZ can move for being a touring bike. I just bought a 88 Gold Wing GL1500/6 this bike has a excellent ride and balance plus Peg loves the seating as well .BUT the Gold Wing has no chance against the 83 Beast as for pure power - speed. The XVZ 1200 motor's run the best at high rpm's heck they love it in the high rpm's they really are a Beast . The Gold Wing has no chance !!!! Your going to LOVE that bike. Buddy
  2. Michael sure hate hearing this, Peg & I was looking forward to seeing you & Teri again in Eureka Springs. Hate it when a fellow rider & friend has to sell their bike, sure wish things could be differnent. If I din't already have two bikes I'd buy your bike for sure. Any & everybody reading this I can say this is one excellent bike and a sweet bike indeed, Michael has taken very good care of this bike if your looking for a RSV in excellent shape this is it!!!!!!!! Bike looks show room new............ I seen this bike run in Eureka Springs and I say this baby runs out good and handles thoses turns like they were nothing.... Michael & Teri stay in touch with us OK.... Ron & Peg Buddy

    Bike Is Gone!!!!

Hey Popeye, Your going to love your Gold Wing for sure - I sure do. Peg and I took ours for a road spin last week for about 50 miles weather permitting, going to get over 100mi tomorrow low 70's here. Peg fell in love with the seat and I fell in love with the balance, man this Gold Wing is balanced and the ride is excellent. Don't worry I still have the 83 Beast I like to eat up those Second Gen. every time they come around acting bad I send them home with their tails between their legs with the Beast.......They hate it when I pull a wheelie with two up, course Peg don't like it either Buddy
  4. Ron, You sure thats not gas. Thats what my mommie use to say to dad. buddy

Nice ride you have there Kit, I love the color and body style. Looks like we're catching more of the popeye virus. Good luck on your new baby. buddy
  6. Hey L.A., Don't forget also the beast was at the head of the pack in Eureka Springs last year as well. And took those roads like a racing bike, WOW din't know you could lay your beast on its side in those turns and come out like a rocket. Yeah Baby First gen. rock................ Buddy
  7. Thanks guys, I just could not turn down this deal, 700.00 below book and free shipping just could not past it up. Popeye I too was looking for RSV but could not find one in my price range as well. When money is tight you have to take what you can get but since I always wanted a Gold Wing it was a blessing. I will post some new photos when the bike comes in Saturday. P.S. when we're in Eureka Springs you guys will have to wait up on me, because everybody knows nothing runs like a Venture. buddy
  8. By now folks know of Popeye buying a Gold Wing 1500, well I caught the virus as well it will be here this coming Saturday. 1988 Gold Wing 1500 blue marble color that is in good shape. Don't worry we still have the 83 beast.I'll be using the beast for work and the blue marble for trips. I know its not a Venture but I always wanted a Gold Wing, So is it safe to come to the meets with the blue marble? So to let everybody know the blue marble will be in Eureka Springs in Sept. buddy
  9. So your bike barks when you get on it? does it meow when you get off? buddy
  10. Since we have such nice cold weather here in the south, figured might as well take the beast apart and repaint it. Wanting to go back with white paint to make it for noticeable on the road and since I live on a gravel road maybe it will not look so dirty too. Any how which is the best white paint for the beast as for good contact and that will last many years down the road? Has anybody added any type of metal flake to white paint before? If all else fails I could just use can spray paint and use some of my daughters glitter. buddy Buddy
  11. Depends on what type of the oil the bike has been running on since new? Dino or Syn.? Reason being is Synthetic oil tends to cause oil leaks on motors that have been running on Dino oil. So if its been using Dino most of its life stay with Dino oil.. What brand? is your choice as long you do regular maintenance on the bike. Summer time 15w40-20w50 Winter time 10w40 Plus stay away from (energy conserving) oil labels as this will cause the wet clutches to start slipping. Main Key is MAINTENANCE....... Buddy
  12. I live in Marlow and by far these guys have the best service around and they are well known around here.Their over 100mi from my house and they still out sale and out do the local Yamaha dealers around here. Some day this is where I will be buying my RSV. But thats someday buddy
  13. Dan a buddy of mine has the Yamaha design on his RSV and loves them very much, I tend to agree with BuddyRich I don't think these would work to well with the RSV setup. buddy
  14. Dan you can have the other set give toolman a PM. Buddy
  15. ToolMan you have PM - Vboost buddy
  16. Lets see what the First gen. has to offer turns really easy in parking lots. takes curves like a race bike. stock gauges. bullet proof motor. first bike with full fairing design. AM/FM cassette - CB intercom system. V-Max was designed from First Gen. motor. engines rated to over 200,000+ miles. Nicked name the Beast . Removable saddle bags 83-85 models. 25 years later the V4 engine still being used on other models which is from the first Gen. design. But yet some people here still cut down the First gen. buddy
  17. Thom Glad your getting the beast running it will give redneck something else to cry about. Looks like you'll be living in the shop for a while. Looks like you going to be keeping it for a while. if you decide to part it out let me know I have a wish list. Let us know how the beast turns out. buddy
  18. Yep it is a nice riding bike, mine is the same year and color and runs great have no problem going across country with this beast. And yes they do have bullet proof motor. As for the syn.oil being that year I would stay clear of syn.oil unless its been running syn.oil most of its life. syn.oil will cause gasket leaks in motors that have been running Dino oil all those years. Best to stay with Dino oil say 15w40 or 20w50 Stay away from oil labels stating (energy saving) and you will be fine. What type of oil you running now in the beast? Buddy

  24. Yep Kenny sure did, while we were up at Eureka Springs I pulled a wheelie while trying to catch up with you and AllanH. Peg told me OK enough is enough So that was the end of it. buddy
