Once in a while he will come by the shop or by the house for a vist. The guys at work love seeing Lowell they have a blast..Or Peg & I would take him out for dinner or just hit the road and ride. he was checking up on me by phone making sure we were OK because I have not be here for awhile. Also few other very close friends here were doing the same as well!! And for that I'm truly thankful!!! There is no telling where he may turn up next. he could go 700mi easy in a days time. No one knows where he may turn up next. As for Peg & I ,our door is always open for the Wildhair39.... Buddy

I will be getting the Swivel hitch to add to my trailer before the Rally in Aug. as for the length of your tongue I length mine out another 5" and it helped mine a whole lot as for running down the HWY but mine is home made Harbor Freight trailer so each trailer may be different?. Buddy

Well most of you that know me, Knows I put 110% in my work. That is with two full time jobs which at one time I had a third part time job as well. Any way Peg kept telling me I'm not as young as I used to be. But I still give it my all... Anyway last Thursday I started feeling bad in my chest and head area but I kept on working both jobs at full speed, each day seemed a little harder for me to get my work done. Saturday I was running 103 temp but kept on going hard at my work. fever finally broke Monday night but this morning I could not speak good could not breath and could not stand much either . So Peg took me to the Doctor sure enough I had the dang Pneumonia again. I know if I listen to her I would have not be in this spot again. My Doctor said I had the Pneumonia same time last year by their records. So I'm sitting hear at home playing on the computer coughing my head off and talking to the hotel & motel folks in Ark. doing some up dates on our Reservations list for the Rally this year. So next time Peg tells me something I'll listen... MAYBE Buddy

If I'm not mistaken , The motor had to be pull out some in order to remove the Alternator . Yep Just Loved working on those M.B. YEAH Right...... Buddy

I'm glad I no longer work on Mercedes Benz. They are good running cars but once you have to start doing maintenance on them you will learn to hate them real quick. When someone ask me if I would work on their M.B. I say NOOOOOOO...... Just thinking about it gives me the:snow2: Sorry if I hurt some ones feeling on this matter. All Auto mechanics have their hates & discontents on most anything built these days. Plus its Getting where all the Vehicles now days are nothing more than computers on wheels. Buddy

Well its been awhile since I posted on here and for that I'm sorry.. As most of you know I work two jobs and get if I'm lucky 3-4 hrs of sleep then back to work. A lot of things went south like the main phone line at home. Then the new dish internet system din't turn out, most of the time dead space. Changing over to another wireless internet first of next year. Now my computer went down so I'm looking at some lap tops. Figure a lap top would be better for me since I'm not home that much and I would be able to log on from work doing lunch and breaks and so on. I'm up at my Mom's for a family Christmas today. So I using her computer to get things done today. Boy I Had a lot of Email..WOW -Thank you Also Thank You so much for the PM's.... Looking forward to see everyone at the Hub next year. Or Maybe sooner as we might have another Oklahoma meet in April or May of 2009??? Merry Christmas & God Bless each and everyone. Buddy

First thing I noticed was the leg room for the driver. Does not look that good for big guys as you can see their feet are hanging over on the floor boards which is not a good sign, plus it looks like their having cramps riding . But over all I like the looks of the Bike but hate the idea of belt drive. Sorry but I 'll stick with my Wing . Buddy

Well since I gave you the Wing fever lets see who else catches it... Cons: The two things I have to say about the Wing is the air filter & C\B? Came with no C\B package, but that has been installed & works perfect. And having to remove the whole top area just to change the air filter. But I will fix that problem with a K\N air filter won't have to worry about that problem any more. But since I know now how it is put together its not so bad, just the first time makes it hard but once your over that its a lot easier... Pros: This machine never gives up not once did it fail me. Yes Honda did its work indeed. The Wing ran perfect in Eureka Springs hill country ran most of the time in Fourth gear in the winding roads and hill areas never did buck or stall even at 30mph in fourth gear going up hills it always came back fighting. And the balance is unreal for a touring bike. I seen you lean your Wing in the twisty at 40-50 mph and not once did it ever get out of hand even with two up the balance is still unreal, plus there were times I seen you make sparks due to the lean in the curves.. Yes the Wing stayed right up with the Venture with no problems..And the Wing still got 45mpg. I too have put this machine to the test and it always came back fighting and ready for more. So like you I also Love this machine.. I would Love to have a Venture too if they can get the balance down low like the Wing then my knee could handle it.. So I'm figuring the New 2010 Venture coming out will be a new beast with the 1800cc motor and be a perfect balance touring bike hope anyway.. Buddy

Bill I say so you was handling that Wing in Eureka Springs like a racing bike and with Linda riding as well heck your were making sparks fly in the corners never thought a Wing could handle that good.... I was very impressed by the way you two rode the Wing. Buddy

My Friend just down the road from me is a member of one in El Reno Okla - Vise President really, and they are all great group of Guys & Gals that's for sure. their always doing stuff for abused children and they never pass anybody up either. Heck they go as far as need be to help anybody out, even in the dead of winter their riding their bikes... And some of the nicest people you could meet... Cindy - Dale glad to see you two were able to enjoy the day and H looks like she was having a blast too.......... Hope to see you two soon untill then God Bless..... Buddy

Now that is one beautiful HD. Most I seen around here are black HD. Very nice indeed.... As for your riding a HD don't worry your stuck with us, Heck I drive a Wing now. And I'm still part of the family, Some do pick on me for riding a Wing but it is all in fun. I was like you wanting new upgrades on the Venture like FJ and so on. I wanted the black cherry Venture, Love that color and was all excited too But the Venture was to top heavy for my knee when two up . And the Wing's backrest fit Peg better so we went with the Wing. I might have bought a HD if it weren't for the extra $9,000 besides the HD dealer down here would not give me the time of day guess because I rode up on a First Gen Which I still have. Guess they figured I could not buy a HD since I ride a 83 Venture...I bought the dark red metallic Wing and been loving every minute of it... But I'm still watching to see if and when They come out with the New Venture... You have beautiful ride . I Love the blue color .... Buddy

If It did you could collect the insurance money and buy you a good Wing Since we all now how much you Love the Wing:innocent:.... Peg & I made it in around 3:49 pm todate. Two Light showers between Tulsa & OKC one shower in OKC clear shot on home. Peg rain suit never got wet not once, But mine was - Figures...... Anyway we had an great time and saw the family again and met new family members too... Thanks to Bill & Linda for an excellent turn out this year. Also want to Thank the Guides & tail gunners, Colesgrandpaw - V7Goose - Dandy1 for some awesome rides - EXCELLENT Work guys.... I Was also proud of Peg this year she rode over 1,423mi in four days. Shes getting better at hanging on..... Buddy
