Never really had any problems with Harley riders, most of them are really nice folk around here. Ones that give us the most problem here is the crotch rockets.

Instead of getting a CD changer that took up too much room. I went with a MP3 player on sale from Wallie World for $10.00 that holds 1,500 songs. Which is plenty for me. I velcro it to my Brake reservoir, out of the way and easy to reach.

10,000 member's on this site sounds nice. But that means nothing if they do not pay their yearly $ . I'm afraid we're only getting about 25% paying their yearly $ now. No I do not know exact amount, the last I heard it was real low.

If I'm not mistaken Auto Zone will check it for free. By the way it sounds it may just be your 02 sensor turning on the light - hope anyway. easy fix - SEA FOAM. clean the 02 - cat at the same time, reset the light.

Every motorcycle I ever owned all had their own whine or sound no matter what brand you buy there is going to be something to hear. Even my GL1800 Gold Wing considered to be one of the quietest & best motors ever built has a sound at a certain rpm, does it bother me? not one bit!. The Venture motor and the GL1800 motor can go well over 250,000 miles. And since the Venture V4 motor is considered world wide as the "Bullet Proof Motor" it would be hard to win this in court in my point of view, There's to many on the road with high mileage some even over 150,000 miles.

Never heard of the Lemon law for used cars. Only for new cars&trucks And as for drive train warranty that only covers the motor-transmission. Body condition is not included. Most used car dealers give you no warranty what so ever you buy as is where is, By the sound of it the Dealer was trying to do good by giving you the 1,000 mile drive train warranty which is a lot now days. Every used car or truck I bought never had any warranty of any kind. Guess me being a ASE mechanic & test driver for many years has helped me a lot in what to look for. Sorry to say this Dan, but it looks like your stuck with a rusty car that runs real good. Sorry

Ponch, The gauge set I seen on your Venture looked awesome:cool17:. I would be more than happy with that set up.
-
Well it looks like I may be keeping my Venture after all since I have not sold it, so I am game for the complete pack deal. Thanks Ponch for doing the hard part for us:happy34: Will be looking forward to seeing your add soon.

Thats funny I thought you was older than Phil:whistling: Sounds like a plan, But it sounds like your giving Phil a head start, then your going to track him down:think:

That is made by Corbin and no it will not set you higher in the seat, matter of fact it will set you lower to the ground which I like due to my knee's. The Corbin passenger back rest is three inches higher than stock. I love the ride the Corbin puts out, I can go all day with the Corbin with no hot spots or leg problems but it tears Peg's back up real bad - Seat is too hard for her. So if you ride two up it may may not work for your Passenger? If you want to save some money get you one with out the Yamaha logo same seat same ride.

I was just fun-in you Bro. I would have cancel too, if its like Oklahoma's gully washer. Will see you sooner or later:happy34:
-
Man that is sorry:buttkick:. Canceling a perfectly good ride:stickpoke: Rain does not bother Peg That's because I'm so much bigger than her I caught all the rain, And at times when it is raining she ask me while she's laughing if its raining up there :headache:Gees that ain't right at all. You do know they make rain suits right. You know that thing that keeps you dry while riding in the rain.

As of right now it looks like Peg & I will be going to Colorado instead. We been wanting to go for the last few years but we went on the Venture meets & International Rally instead and we had a blast & Loved every minute. But I been itching to ride in the mountains of Colorado on our Wing so we will miss the International Rally next year. We will make some of the other Venture meets so You all ain't getting rid of me that easy.

Elite 2 on my old 83 Venture lasted a long time, rear tire went 22,000 miles front tire went 16,000 miles. I don't ride crazy or hard on my touring bikes I do ride two up on trips and pull trailer too, ride one up going to work. All I can say is if you want your tires to last longer stopping riding your Ventures like a crotch rocket:whistling: and ride them like a cruiser or touring bike:cool17:. I have Avon's on my 03 Venture now and I love them, wet or dry they stick to the road real good!! And on my 01 Gold Wing I have the Kumho CT RF on the rear and Bridge-stone on the front and its the best ride I ever had out of a Gold Wing, Coming home from ST. Jude's run on the wet roads with our Wing we were doing 65-70mph at times pulling the trailer with ease no trouble what so ever. I always had good luck out my tires..

Bill we seen how you act around Linda and you not Dangerous. Now Linda on the other hand:whistling: Tell Linda we said Hi and give her a big hug for me. Sure do miss you guys

Use a dust mask when doing this!!!!!!!! take your brake pads |___| and use sander or grinder to the edges at an angle to look like this \___/ this will help with the buzz sound, also will help on brake squeals as well too.

Not all but some of the 2003-2006 GL1800 models had trouble of the 5th gear going south and had to replace the transmission. Go with 2001-2002 or 2007-2010 models. We bought our 2001 Pearl Blue ABS model below book $ and we love it, I really love the ABS brake system. excellent braking indeed:happy34: And from 2001 to 2005 they had a frame weld issue recall but ours was inspected and past with flying colors . if you look at a Gold Wing in these years 01-05 models look for a stamp after the Vin number on left side of the Wing this shows it has been inspected or ask your Honda dealer to run the Vin # and they can tell you if it has been inspected.

The "easyway" is to get a extension from Wallie world or radio shack and hook up from your mp3 player to the front of your cassette players mp3 port. . I Velcro the mp3 player to the top my brake reservoir. Then tone your radio unit to AUX and you have mp3 music. A lot of the guys went the extra mile and took the fairing apart and added an extra mp3 extension and routed it out the under side of faring area.

Lew put your clothes & towel in a plastic baggie and run naked to the garage. You can take a quick shower on the way, then dry off and put your clothes on! But then we would have to start calling you the naked dragon:whistling:
