I wanted to see if we can help Lowell out on his cycle repairs. As most know Lowell has done a lot for our family and being at most every event we had and being our ambassador for Venturerider.org Please lets show Lowell how much he means to us!!. I would like to help out by giving some money to help him get his cycle fixed. as of right now 300.00 is needed for the cycle repairs but extra is also needed for gas as well to get his bike there in TN for the repairs. Most of us know Lowell is having some health issues which we all know takes $$ to do so I was hoping by doing this for Lowell it would help him out toward his other $$ needs.. I know Lowell will be talking to me later on :whistling:but heck we Love the Guy Freebird, Can we do this for Lowell as he really means a lot me and others here? Buddy

Sounds good........ Peg & I will be there, looking forward to it!!!!
-
bumper only, looks like its from a Gold Wing made to fit the venture.
-
About the only you thing you will have to worry about is the helmet law in each state but if you wear the helmet all the time than you have nothing to worry about!! as long you have DL-Ins-registration you will be just fine and ride as many states as you want

I don't even use 5th gear until 70mph.... passing a car 80mph in 5th gear will take some time.. drop a gear and let the motor do its job you will pass those HD !!! Did a Poker run today and we were first out and first back in, 175 miles total in 107F temp and none of the HD in the group could keep up with Peg & I we were at least 12 minutes ahead of the pack I did most of it in 4th gear not once did I ever have any trouble passing a car or truck on a hill or flat land!!!. The heat almost did Peg in but the Venture cruised along with no problems what so ever but some of the HD riders had to cool their bikes off they were getting to hot for them so they say:rasberry: few of HD riders were looking over the Venture motor after the poker run they said They heard of the bullet proof motor but never seen one until today So I asked them how they liked my tail lights:crackup: P.S. all the riders were on HD except us, we were the out cast today who kicked some butt Venture style.... treat it like you stole it .... It dint get the name bullet proof for nothing!!!!!!!!!!
-
Never seen or heard of them:think: for the RSV Its for the rear wheel that no one can see:think: Why bother... I know Gold Wing has them for the GL1800.....

We bought the pad when we were in St. Charles MO. and Peg loves it !!!!!!! Along with the sheepskin she said it was great.... it enabled her to make it back home in one day with her back problem 650+miles in one day she said if not for the pad she wouldn't made it home!!!!!!! Down here they sell out pretty quick.

1983 Venture 2003 Venture 2006 RSTD 2004 Venture Everyone talking about me having bikes Condor & Squid got me beat course I dint mention the Gold Wings or Shadows I had in the past either:whistling:
-
83 model best 37mpg 04 model best 42mpg Pretty close match but the 04 slightly better... plus 04 has a better ride and easier on my knees as well. Love the Second Gen. on long rides:)
-
IF and I mean "IF" its the real deal yes that is a good price 08 still under factory warranty but like stated its not a fully loaded RSV and also whats the history on the RSV?? being on craigslist I would be Leary of it!! I had one of my bikes on craigslist and was hit with scam after scam after scam:headache: finally had to pull it off had so many scam hits it was sicking!!! Check out our classified section no scams there and the bikes are well know by most here so you would be getting a good ride. thats where I bought my Midnight and I been loving it ever since!! If you see one you would like to check on but its to far out for you just ask and one of us close by would be happy to check on it for you!!!!!! besides 1999 to 2010 still has the same design "the cassette player":rotfl: only difference is the color.......
-
Prestone or Peak either one is fine. As for the pink or red antifreeze I would stay away from mixing brands that can lead to a mess as for plugging up the system unless you use the Prestone Universal Antifreeze which can be added to any color or any brand antifreeze but your looking at a lot of $$$ thats why I stay with Green save some $$ and works just as good...
-
The green antifreeze.... mix it 50/50 works for me..... Don't waste your money on pre mixed 50/50 antifreeze too much $$ buy full strength and mix it yourself and save the $$ for gas..... For got to add use distilled water for mixing, tap water will eat away at your aluminum

04 Midnight is my ride... Stay (out) of 5th gear unless your on flat land for many miles pulling a trialer. I stay in 4th gear most of the time pulling the trailer with no problems, lugging the motor is the worse thing you can do to it, let that XVZ motor rev.up:happy34:it wont hurt one bit. matter of fact these motors love to rev.up.. my trailer is 140+lbs empty and loaded down it is around 300-350lbs get around 35-36mpg no problems at all..........
-
As of right now Peg wont be going due to the work load co worker will be gone during this time frame so Peg will have to stay, as for me not much better either still the only Mechanic for the city with 4/10hr days puts me at Fri-Sat-Sun off NO vacation days allowed!! over 500+miles up & 500+miles back home plus riding on Saturday puts a lot of pressure on my right knee which is still swollen from the Hub Rally. Ordered some highway pegs so I can stretch out my legs more maybe this will help my knee? will see how things turn out so don't count me out yet!!!!!!!! Buddy

We had fun seeing everyone again, had more fun visiting than riding it was too dang hot to being riding but what little riding we did do was fun...... We got in around 2:30 today would have been home sooner but we had to stop a couple of times to cool off due to the heat. Peg did better than I did her back dint bother her much on the way home but my knee was acting up pretty bad was not fun coming home at all glad we made it home too because I could not handle another 100 miles it was that bad, Looking for some highway pegs for the RSV so I can stretch out my knee. When we came home the temp in the shade was 107F at 2:30:headache: and around 6PM it was 110F in the shade way too hot for us to be riding and my arms are burnt pretty good as well.... If things don't get any better with my knee I may take B2dad advice and triking my bike in a year or two. Boy I fell in Love with B2dad & Carbon One trikes boy they are pretty:happy34: Wished B2Mom could have made it we had a blast there at the Hub sure did miss seeing her..... The Group had breakfast at the Best Western in Eureka Springs and B2dad & Carbon One made a cute couple at the best Western for breakfast Thanks to Midnight Rider talking to the waiters LOL:crackup: If you could just see Don's face:headache: B2Mom you would be rolling in the floor laughing I almost pee my pants.... Lord how I Love this family..Love each and everyone of them............ looking forward to your Merrimac meet if things go OK at work and I can get my knee to feeling better on long trips I'll be there... Bill Linda you two always had good Rallies & meets but I have to say this 2010 Hub Rally by far was the best one yet.......I'm still laughing from all the fun we had. Randall & Debbie and the Staff at the Hub did excellent job again as always We had fun but we hated going home too....
-
