Putting on more lights will do you a world of good but you still have to watch these idiots on I-35 especially during the Red River show down I-35 then becomes a crash derby I hate riding on I-35 even in a cage I hate using it......

Seems what you are looking for is the Drag Specialties Wingleader passenger Pegs made for the GL1800 Gold Wing Part # 19040014 Had these on our GL1800 and Peg loved them but they will not fit the Venture so I bought the Diamond R set instead. http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=&store=&catId=&productId=p490811&leafCatId=&mmyId=

I don't know, Please help
buddy replied to Brake Pad's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
What a bunch of hog wash . Sounds like Their wanting to stick it to you big time!!!!! I cleaned a few carb's in the past one was a 1980 Kawasaki 440 LTD set in the barn for 12 or so years covered in tow sack's and feed bags plus chicken crap needles to say it was very nasty. I took the carb's apart and let them soak for a few days in carburetor cleaner and they came out looking really good only thing I had to replace was the float bowl gaskets total of maybe 35.00 or so for parts & cleaner.. Another one was a Ninja 600 86 model? the jets were gummed up due to the cycle setting for a few years so I let the jets set for a few days in carburetor cleaner and they came out looking new Its amazing what you can do with little or no money ! -
Oil Warning Light
buddy replied to GaryZ's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
thats normal for these beast when I had my 83 it would do the same thing when I was running mine hard. all its for is a low warning light for the oil and when your ridding it hard the oil will move around some causing the light to come on. As long as you have plenty of oil in the case at least have the sight glass don't even worry about it just check your level once in a while and let the beast run wild or ride it like you stole it...... -
Just installed Fire Fox, Fire Fox is a lot faster than IE first time out!, And I like the spell checker as well! will see how it does over this coming week....And see what all it has to offer...

BareFoot Willies Cup Holder on the Passenger Grab bars
buddy replied to Sleeperhawk's topic in Watering Hole
Yep thats the way I have it set up on the Venture I dint much like it either at first So I had Peg try it out first before I removed it and she loves it! So I left it on there after a while it grew on me and now I like it Peg likes the set up she said its easier for her to work with its not in her way also she likes it due to the angle its less likely in losing the water bottle when putting back in the holder. Like you said $6.95 is not a Hugh investment! -
He been in the Sand pit over seas for so long I was not surprise about the title:whistling:

BareFoot Willies Cup Holder on the Passenger Grab bars
buddy replied to Sleeperhawk's topic in Watering Hole
We also have the water bottle from Wallie world $6.95 looks OK too mounted on the right passenger grab bar and so far after 1200mi its still doing its job Peg really likes it holds her water bottle really good stays in place with no problems.. As for the barefoot cup holder I had one on my 03 RSV which Monty has now work great for me on the handle bar. Well getting me another one soon... -
YES very much so!!!! Go with the 130/90-16 this size will give you better handling on the Hwy and parking lots plus better slow turnarounds as well. 404 is junk in my books.

receiver for 2007 Midnight Venture
buddy replied to CaptainJoe's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Remember this is for a motorcycle not a Pick-up truck unless your planning on pulling more than 1,000 lbs? you won't need that extra grade square stock . No problem pulling my trailer empty 135 lbs or fully loaded around 450 lbs or if Peg has her way 650 lbs LOL Excellent workmanship and no come backs need I say more !!! -
I can tell you one thing if Peg could stand the shaking at stop lights which she cannot stand!! I would be riding a Ultra Classic right now !!!!!!!!!!!! I could care less what you ride just as long your getting to ride is the main thing and having fun doing it too. Buddy
-
Well I was gonna come up solo since Peg has to stay behind and work, But my Dad is not doing to well So I'm staying behind. Everyone have fun drink an extra one for me and send us some photos too. Ride safe and God Speed...... Buddy

1999-2011 Venture have the same body style only major difference is the color . So a 1999 model looks the same as a 2011 model going down the highway..! Why pay $18,000-20,000 for a new one when you can get a good used Venture like mine for $6500-7000.00 with the same set up - the cassette player:buttkick: Yep it looks like Ponch is going to be busy for a while!!

Mike, When you was riding with us in the Eureka Springs hill Country your bike never did backfire nor did it sound off beat !! It was in perfect form as for idle and running down the road!!! so it sounds like he or they did something to cause this problem. Take it back and make them synchronize the carb. and look for vacuum leaks ETC. if you can watch them do it:cool17: they hate it when customers watch them because most of the time they have no clue whats going on and it will show:doh:!!. keep us up to date as for whats going on and what caused the problem...
