Trans. went out on my Valk I/S almost lost my lunch when I was told how much it was going to cost me $$$$$$$$. dealer said the 4th gear went out and took the rest along with it I put over 8,000mi on it since I owned it and never noticed any problems until I heard metal grinding. no way could I pay over 3,000.00 for this repair so the dealer made me a good deal on a 90 Goldwing one owner great shape for a 90 model still has the factory sticker info. on the fuel door and fairing area traded straight across for my valk I/S plus they put on new E3 tires - new tag - full service all fluids - new battery - air filter dealer said they would make money off the Valk I/S after the repairs were done their a hot item around here. Glad your Wing is still under warranty and hope you get it worked out and back on the road soon keep us up to date on what happens

Sure is pretty! Had a chance to buy a Ultra several yrs back but I made the mistake and took Snowflake for the test ride and she hated the vibration at stop lights so we dint buy one she wanted the Gold Wing seating & ride! whats funny is when we was on the Interstate the Ultra rode just as smooth as the Wing did! Enjoy your new ride!! Buddy

Don't blame you one bit:bang head: they blow it off like other dealers. Yamaha dealer down here would that and they dint last long got to the point the Honda dealer down the street was getting all the work no warranty work but they did good taking care of their customers.

Dan wish we lived closer I would love to give you a hand!! one of my co-workers does concrete work on the side and he stays busy year round Mike knows his stuff when working with concrete! even in hard of winter he can do just about any type of work you want he makes it in any color you want and even patterns if you want that as well I never seen any bad work from him never!!!! if all goes well for next year I will have him make me a slab for adding onto the house next year. the type of slab your wanting he could have it done over the weekend he does an excellent job of getting everything in order and when the trucks show up there's no down time or waiting. Not trying to be a butt just wishing we were closer because you would have your slab in no time flat.

Yamaha has the best warranty on the market for new motorcycles.. 5 year Unlimited mileage warranty! Only on the Venture motor will you find this warranty That alone alto show you how well these motors hold up About the time you redo the jugs & rings on a HD engine say around 80,000-100,000 if your lucky? these Venture motors are just getting broke in only other motor that I see standing with the Venture as for say bullet proof is the GL1500 or GL1800 Honda motor on the Gold Wing/Valkyrie series motorcycles Test ride a Venture and once you open it up on the Hwy or Interstate I mean open it up twist that throttle wide open and shift those gears let the beast out you will not hurt these motors I promise you these motors love HIGH RPM's and it will be begging for more throttle every time!!!!!!!!!!! Do not ride it like a V-Twin it will lug on you every time its power is in the high rpm's test ride one and you will see what I mean Harley Davidson riders called it the "Beast" you can ride all day long on the Interstate doing 80 MPH or more and these motors will not even break a sweat!! my Midnight loved it around 80 - 85 mph that 2003 Midnight I had purred like a kitten at those speeds man it was smooth sure do miss that beast. Pretty much go by what the guys stated earlier as for what to look for and you will do just fine. Also stated there are Ventures for sale here in Venturerider.org ! if there's any close by check them out !! Oh and welcome to the family !!! hope to meet you at one of the Meets or Rallies? heck we may make our own meet LOL Buddy

Thank You Don aka Gunboat for the up dates as Peg & I are checking each and everyday on David's progress. Would love to see Ponch & Kathy but we figure it best and wait awhile and see how Kathy feels on having more Visitors. The up dates are doing us a world of good - more than you think!! Why is it you see used Interstates selling faster than Gold Wings today When I bought my Valkyrie I/S from the dealer they only had it listed for 2 days Dennis the salesman said he wished the Gold Wings would move that fast each time he had a chance to list a Interstate it was sold within a weeks time and he had 6 used Gold Wings in stock plus 4 new one's as well! Gold Wing worst nightmare is when the Valkyrie was produced if the Designer had not died I see it out selling the Wing today.

Well for me I wanted a bike that's not as top heavy as the RSV but I also wanted the Gold Wing ride yet the fairing on Gold wing would put my knees in a bind when stretched out and cause them to swell up what to do? Found my ride it has the Venture design and Gold Wing ride all in one Honda Valkyrie Interstate Yes its top heavy but nothing like the Venture well balanced! and no full fairing either to cause problems for my knees! plus it has the Wing power but on steroids Wings worst nightmare is when the Valkyrie came out if the designer of the Valkyrie had not died I see it out selling the Wing today! I love the RSV but its too top heavy for me if not for that I would still have my Midnight in the garage! -
