All I can say is my Gold Wing 1500 can move faster than any First Gen. or Second Gen. any day of the week! . . . . . . . . . . In reverse up Hill..........

100 rounds? what you trying to hit? I think your gun sights are off you think:stickpoke: I remember my Friend Rob telling me one time he had lint in his gun which kept the safety from working he had to tear it completely apart to find the problem

Glad you was not hurt! and you was able to make it home safe... Sure does make your butt pucker up for sure....... Had that happen to us once going to ST. Judes Peg & I was riding along with Ray & Joan (Colesgrandpaw) on I40 east bound and we had one blow out and Ray was head of us almost to the truck rear side as we was 100ft behind them when it blew when I saw that I told Peg to hang on! I had missles hitting my windshield and my right knee and foot area Peg was safe behind me as she was ducking and it was busy busy on I40 I looked in my mirror and saw that the truck behind us took the middle of the road and started slowing down so no one could get by him making it safe for us to dodge and slow down as well. Yep been there done that!!! Thats why I went back to the Wing 1500 the Second Gen. was way to top heavy for my knee plus the seat is lower causing more pain and put more bind on my knee when I was at a stop Since the Wing is taller my legs are more straight now and I have better balance I sure do miss the Second Gen.

I know this is an old post I went back in the past ( last page ) lol and started working my way toward the front and found this old Eureka Springs Meet post and started ready and found that several of our old riding buddies and family no longer ride or go to E.S.Meets any more Roadkill - Dandy1 - BoxerX2 - Heatonmt - Popeye - Ponch - Wildhair39 Sure do miss them a lot! That was our first Venture meet and years later here I am Hosting Snarley Bill's 2012 E.S. Meet with Snarley Bill - Colesgrandpaw help! As Roadkill would say OK you said enough shut up and get another beer out of the bath tube lol you had to be there to see it! Looking forward to seeing everyone See y'all in Eureka Springs AR. Buddy

Introduction and questions about my new (almost) ride RSV Millennium
buddy replied to 9Grenzen's topic in Watering Hole
I had the Shinko Tourmaster on my Venture and they were very good for traction and wet weather but being the Venture is so heavy my rear tire would wear out with just 10,000 miles on them so I moved to the E3 Dunlop yes they are $$$ but they wear very well I could easly get 22,000-26,000 out of the rear tire but they are noise as well once they wear down some on the tread I have the E3 on my 1500 Wing and I love them even if they are loud Buddy -

New model with reverse? Mine is a 90 model and it has reverse:stickpoke:
-
Lets hope its just the idler gear and nothing else still have to remove the motor to do the repair est. cost doing it yourself 300.00 just a rough guess Ilder gear works off the starter and most cases when the idler gear breaks its due to the motor hydrolocking and kicks back when that happens the idler will break I have seen it take out the reverse system as well so that will be more $$

Hate to say it but your Friend going to have to pull the motor and remove the back half and replace the reverse system or even worse the transmission as well. Some of the guys that had this problem replaced the whole motor and there are few out there for any where $450 to 900.00 Pinwall would be the best place to get one due to the fact they test them out really good! before selling them

OK I have the rides listed on the main page of the Eureka Springs Meet&eat Saturday ride to Ozark AR. Sunday ride to Marble Falls AR. All the Thanks for this goes to Colesgrandpaw! He really did an excellent job of setting up some awesome rides for us and I'm looking forward to it Thanks Ray for helping me on this!!!! With very poor net. at home and longer hrs. at work I had hardly any time to really do any good on this so Ray stepped up and saved my Bacon LOL Buddy

As of right now the lunch and rides are still in progress of being done which is mainly my fault for being done so late but we have 4 weeks before E.S. meet is here I talked to Colesgrandpaw & Joan for their help in this matter as they know the area so well. I'm at their mercy LOL Once Ray & Joan have it we will post it in the Meet&eat area on Eureka Springs meet main page As of right now we have Rivertowne BBQ in Ozark AR. for sure. maybe Lamberts cafe Ozark MO. and "The HUB" Scooters cafe in Marble falls AR. maybe on the list as well I take full blame for it being so late being posted! Buddy

Well we was thinking of a run by the Hub sometime that week for lunch so maybe we can hook up Buddy

Hey Joe, Missed you at ST. Charles.. My inseam is 32 and my preload on my 90 Wing is 25 so no its not maxed out but I am tip toeing at stops as for the seat its stock and for the Second Gen. it could have been weak since I replaced the rear shock three times one being a used one preload was set around 35 I could have went back with a 1800 Wing but I could not see making payments now days so I went back with the 1500 when my tranny went out on the Valkyire:( As for my knees if I climb a ladder after a few times they hurt like so that kinda tells how my knees are not as young as I used to be:bang head:
-
Their pretty close as for weight but the Second Gen. is lower to the ground(seat wise) than the First gen. making it feel much more heavy as your knees are bent more than on the First Gen. Also the Second Gen. the fuel tank is above the motor as to where on the First Gen. its under the seat so that there alone will make a big difference too. I know the Second Gen. is a bear to pick up when its down to the crash bars don't ask me how I know main reason I went back to the Wing is it sits much higher than the Second Gen. I am able to keep my knees almost straight when I come to a stop as to where the Second gen. it killed my knees being it sits so low I could not get my legs under me when at stops which in turn put a lot of pressure on my knees. if not for my knees I still have my Second gen.!!

I'm looking at buying a Long fram Tractor 1529 and was wondering if anyone here has one or used a long tractor in the past and any info. as for good or bad? I searched the net and seen good reviews on them but I was wondering if any in the family here has any views on them? Its kinda rough looking like me lol. but it runs really good no blow by and I see no leaks-diesel-oil-hyd. etc etc has new tires and lifts the 5ft brush hog with no problems so hyd. seem good.
