I think Rhonda and I both got a set from Kelehers. I also bought my vest there. They had a tent sale and they were pretty cheap. I think they have a few sales per year, give them a call and ask, when there having their sale. Brad

2000 RSV started to backfire when deccelerating
BradT replied to lobo17's topic in General Tech Talk
When mine does that I sync the carbs and it normally goes away, except for when I was running in the mountains out west. Others have plugged or removed the AIS system. I think Al Bates had a right for it a long time ago BRad -
Steve you could also try Kelehers, just off the 401 at exit 286 (townline road), south side of the road on the right. They have some decent deals, and I have not had a problem with the service. I believe some people have but no I. BRad

Went to the Petsmart to purchase dog food and almost $hit. We have a 170-180 lb Newfoundland Dog. We have been feeding him Authority dog food and purchase a 40 lb bag about once a month. Tonight I walked in and walked out, then had to go back pay. The last bag I bought a month ago was 32.99 and today it was 45.99 not including the 13% taxes. Eukanuba was 75.99 (plus tax) for a 40 lb bag. I had to ask the lady at the desk how they can justify a (39.4%) increase. She smiled and continued to smile as she said Rice and corn have gone up (Not sure how much this inrease was) Transportation costs (Price a barrel is 1/3 the cost it was a year ago) Petcetara went backrupt (purchased by Petsmart) People are losing their jobs (Not sure how this has anything to do with the increase) and do not forget everything we purchase will be getting the new Ontario Harmony tax of 13% (which has always been part of purchasing dog food). I wanted to ask her to explain her answers but I just looked at her smiling face and knew I would be wasting my time. I feel sorry for the pets and the Humane Societies as people stop adopting pets. Or worse off people giveing them up, in tough times. Brad

What tires are on it. The tread is not Dunlop, looks like Bridgestones, but White walls (WWW)? Thought Dunlop and avon were the only options for WWW's Brad

Getting Ready to ride north, to the Arctic Circle
BradT replied to JeffC's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Enjoy your ride. That sounds like pretty good ride. Do you have any maps after Fairbanks, just curious about the Haul rode. Not sure what the haul rode is like but they could be some pretty big rocks. The car tire may be nice to have going over some those sharp stones. Brad- 17 replies

Head gasket leak '99 RSV
BradT replied to dfitzbiz's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
You sure it is the head gasket ? I remember reading here about the rubber plugs on the side of the block leaking when cold. I think the solution was to tape a washer to the inside of the Fake fins, where it pushes against the Rubber plug. Other than that then Pegscraper has the info right on. Brad -
Yah but those a real loud, look good but LOUD ! Brad

My Left one cracked same spot. Swifty fixed it up for me on the back side with that plastex (I think that was what it was). Brad

I agree with you as I spoke to a rep from Seafoam and he mentioned 1 oz per gallon, or max would be 2 oz per gallon for a real cleaning. Brad

Where to buy a "trailer isolation relay" in Canada
BradT replied to Midnight's topic in Trailer Talk
Go to a place that sells Travel and pop up tent trailers, that's where I found mine and it was just as cheap as ordering on line. On line and have it shipped to the house, is the best other alternative. Brad -
Glad to hear you got it figured out Brad
