What does a fried stator look like?

I would definetly do this at the same time as the new one. AS Jeff say start picking the speed up a bit so the stator can generate the max power. Brad -

Mine are 1/8" shorter, and works for me. Doubt there is a maximum but think anything more than 1/4" may affect alignment and put more stress on other components (bearings, gears, etc..) affect it's life. Brad
