Hate to say it but that is about the only reason I like living in the North. These are NOT needed. Brad

Personally I do not like them. Whenever I see them my eyes seem to automatically look right at them and then for a bit I see spots and this occasionally this can be an issue. I will run my HID on High beam for the simple reason of being seen. So I understand why people feel safer using them and I will not fault them for that, even if I get blinded for a second. Brad

Lowering the seat helped more than Waiting. :rotf:But I caught the joke. Not sure about the Challenger (I like those as well, but ..). Not sure you could get comfortable in the Chev pretty tight. Brad

Very nice. Again Congrats. Have not pulled mine (except for around the neighbourhood) yet changing the wire from 5 to 4 and have had no time. I also have a piggy backer so I guess I will see the differences soon enough, except I do not have many mountains around here. Enjoy it Brad

A couple weeks back the neighbour who is a Used Equipment Manager at a Chev Dealer came home with a SS Camero. Had to take a look and he comes out and throws the keys to me and says take it for a ride. Was not saying no. Naugh-T and I took off for a little ride while he had supper. Sure is a nice looking car. When I got in I had to lower the seat to the lowest point and even then I was touching the roof and when I put the seat back to a comforatble spot there is NO room in the back seat. Never took the Traction control off but was able to hit a few times and man that thing goes and it stays straight. Anyway 30 minutes of fun and a few pictures was worth it. Brad

Glad you made it home safe and sound. Sounds like a nice trip. We were in Tobermory today but in the car, at some beach for while then at a campground. Wind was a bit gusty at times Brad

Makes sense, pretty much what I ended up doing. However I fought with it a little. I never rolled it up as nice as the previous owner had it. Not quite sure I understand the comment above, but maybe next time I close it I will. I have the tie straps as well those were easy to tie up. I hope it is in decent shape. Not sure what wiring you went put on your bike but this trailer had a flat five wire connector. My Piggy Backer is four. Enjoy the ride and hope it works out for you BRad

Red You never mentioned how many miles you have on the bike ? During some of those long rides you take, I would imagine it got hot back there. Glad you will be going again soon BRad -
Nice report. I set mine only once and noticed a lot of things that you mention. There has to be a trick rolling the awning up. Got a minute to explain the steps ? Yamadawg so did you look at it. Brad

I recently purchased a 2001 model and I looked at the underside for rust, the awning, and the overall condition. Sorry can not be much more assistance but if it looks good and the price is right then why not. I bought mine and pulled it behind the truck home, and need to change the wiring to match the bike, but I did pull it around the block the other day and it is definetly heavier empty than my Piggy backer loaded. I will have to get used to that. Good luck and hope you enjoy it http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=50697 Brad

Does not always mean that he is talking about second gens as he has or had both machines before. I just wanted to make sure that the first genners knew the torque was different. You know what they say about first gen owners, right ? Brad
