  1. regarding the popping I will second the motion about the carb sync. When I did it per the manual (manual is wrong) I screwed it up worse than than it was, and it would pop all the time. I have since synched them properly and it no longer pops and the AIS is not plugged. Regarding fuel I get about 150 before I have to switch to reserve then about 20-30 miles later the little F indicater comes on. I have never seen the fuel light come on. I heard one time that there is a device in the tank which can be adjusted by bendin a tab or something which will change the amount of reserve. SO I would guess everyone is slightly different. Brad
  2. How do you keep from burning your fingers when taking off and putting on the carb caps. ? Dam it is hot in there. BRad
  3. I remember looking at that one as well, but I never did find out who owned it. I thought the idea was pretty good. AS far as your ribs go I bet they are just starting to heal from this last Vogel trip. Brad
  4. Very nice bike. Did you take it for a test ride ? How did it handle ? Still has me nervous, but it does look secure ! Brad

Nice looking. That is a second Gen definetly. They call it silver but I still think it is green. Brad
  6. I have heard reving the engine is not good idea, on either a car or bike. To much power draw can overheat things causing trouble. Not sure if this is true or not, but I never rev them Brad
  7. Looks good but approx. how big is it ? Just Curious Brad
  8. 375 kg is actually 826.7 lbs. Also remember that the bike is 825 + or - but when you add the people they Centre of gravity for these people are not equally spaced therefore the load does not split equally on the rear and front tires. Thanks goose that was my plan. Brad
  9. I was thinking of Crossing the border (of course I would pay duty). They wanted over 200 bills for one tire. Brad
  10. Very well said. Every new member should have to read this before getting there membership, as it is so True. Thanks to everyone here, which I get to call a friend (at least I hope so, even you Mr. Owl.) Brad
  11. Curious where the best place to pick up a tire would be. I believe there is many that order the tires on line and have them shipped to you door. I was looking for a rear tire for the 1999 but I would like white walls. Any suggestion on a brand. The Dunlop 404 was the one that I had a problem with, not saying I would not purchase another. Brad
  12. Found the link i was refering too. http://imc-communication.com/produits.php Anyway these are the people that show up in TO every spring. They were charging 10 bucks for delivery. Brad
  13. Here is a site from Quebec. It is IMC Brad http://imc-communication.com/produits.php

His profile say 1999. The rear shock is a common problem from what I have read. So far I have not had any trouble with mine. Occasionaly my radio acts up, and the CB. Just does not work sometime. I turn the CB on and off and it normally comes back. Appearantly under the fairing there is a plug that requires some dielectric grease to keep the contactors to make proper contact. Brad
  15. Goose, Still looks scary to me. Best of luck. Brad
  16. Personally I would be very concerned about towing either bike that way. You have more nerve than I do, that is for sure. Suggest looking at U-haul and see what the drop of feees would be ? PS how far you travelling ? Brad
  17. Sorry to hear. I know how you feel we have had to do this as well. They really become a part of the family. Brad
  18. Todd I saw you ride, I would suggest you have a swivel hitch, expecially in your area. Brad
  19. Glad you reposted this I liked this idea. Brad
  20. I bought my Piggy back just recently and I have a normal hitch. I so far have towed it 600 miles home, then to Vogel and back 1700 miles and I even towed it behind my trailblazer (1,000 miles) Without a Hitch (pun intended, sad I know) I would not spend the extra money. It tows great. Brad
  21. You should not be scraping it should be high enough if the pressure is right. Brad
  22. I know Chaos did it recently but not sure what he did. Maybe he will pipe up. Brad
  23. Those headsets are sold over the counter in Guelph, Two Wheel motor sports, I think just on the north side of town on Hwy 6. I have them but do not think the speakers are the greatest. The mike seems to work okay You can order them from Quebec as well, paid to your door. But I think the cost is around 120. They also go to the motorcycle shows in TO in the spring. Brad
